Coraline Task 5 – Hide and Seek with Other Wybie The scene introduces you to Other Wybie and will start the Hide and Seek game with him. You have to find him in each of his hiding places before time runs out! The first place he's hiding is in the closet under the stairs, where the hot water tank is in Normal World. The second hiding place is upstairs in Other Mother and Father’s Room, inside the large cabinet to the left of the door. The final hiding place is in the big cabinet in the Living Room. Once Other Wybie has been found all three times, the next game will begin. Task 6 – Scavenger Hunt A scene will play where Coraline tells Other Wybie they should do a scavenger hunt. There are ten total items to collect throughout the downstairs area of the house. Get as many as you can before Wybie gets them! The locations for the items you need are as follows: Living Room – The small Christmas Tree is near the left side of couch on the floor. Living Room – The Flamingo Lamp sits on the coffee table, in front of the couch near the fireplace. Parlor/Den – The small Statue sits on a small table in between a couch and a chair on the right side of the room. Parlor/Den – The Cactus is near the windows, on the far side of the room, sitting by itself on the floor. Dining Room – The Box of Chocolates is on left side of the table when entering the room from the hallway. Downstairs Hallway – The Cotton Candy Machine is in the closet underneath the stairs. Kitchen – The Hot Dog is on the kitchen table. Kitchen – The Chicken Oven Mitts are on the door of the oven. Other Father's Study – The Sheet Music is on the left side as you walk into the room, near the record player. Other Father's Study – The Bongos are on the left side, past the sheet music under the picture of Other Mother. Once all of the items have been collected, the hunt ends, and the person with the most items collected is the winner! D3Publisher of America, Inc. 6
Coraline Task 7 – Pancake catching Once the scavenger hunt is completed, a scene with Other Mother plays with instructions on how to catch pancakes. Move Coraline underneath where the pancakes drop. Catch 15 pancakes before the time runs out! For each pancake you get one point. Watch out for bugs and worms! Each bug or worm you catch, you lose one point. After catching 15 yummy pancakes, a scene plays. After the scene completes, another one showing Coraline going to bed plays. Then it's on to Day 2. Day 2 – Dream A scene with Wybie plays showing him running off into a forest. Afterward, a tutorial will play talking about the firefly jar and health meter. After the tutorial is done, press the button mentioned in the scene to equip the jar of fireflies. The firefly jar will keep all of the enemies at bay. Remember to watch the meter in the bottom right corner of the screen. Walk towards the large cone of light and follow the prompts on screen to refill the jar. Once you refill your jar, another cone of light will appear, and more Rats will come out of the bushes. Go toward the next cone of light with your jar of fireflies out, follow the prompts on screen to get the next cone of light to appear, and refill your jar. Keep doing this and you will find Wybie underneath the last cone of light. Walk to up to him and a scene will start. Day 2 – Normal World A scene plays showing Coraline in her bed wondering if the dream she had about Wybie was real. She decides to go tell her parents about her dream. Once you can move her, walk downstairs and a scene with Mother plays. She scolds you for going to the well and forbids you from leaving the house. After this scene completes, the next task will begin! Task 1 – Escaping! To exit the house, you have to get the key from the drawer near the kitchen sink to unlock the back door. Walk slowly, or else you'll be caught by Mother trying to go outside! The meter on the left increases as you move faster. Go into the kitchen and open the drawer to the right of the sink to grab the key. This is done by interacting with the drawer. Now with the key in hand, slowly walk to the back door in the kitchen and interact with it to escape! Task 2 – Finding Wybie Once Coraline escapes the house, a scene with Wybie entering the barn plays. Go over to the barn and enter it. Another scene will play showing Wybie in the rafters, then exiting the barn through a window. Move boxes and crates to get over any obstacles to get up into the rafters. Once you've made it up there, you will have to balance Coraline on a narrow pipe to get over to the window through which Wybie left the barn. Walk forward while making sure she doesn't lose her balance. To keep Coraline's balance, don't let her lean too far to the left or right. If she falls, follow the prompt on screen and she'll climb back up on the pipe and continue on. After completing the balancing act, walk over to the window and exit the barn.
