Taking advantage of the MGC
platform, Polycom provides a
unique gateway and firewall solution for real-time voice and video
communications. The Polycom Gateway product can be integrated
with and used as a shared resource with Polycom VoicePlus and
the Polycom Video MCU. It can also be configured as a stand-alone
gateway product.
This next-generation gateway solution provides point-to-point connectivity
between H.320, ISDN, H.323 and IP networks. With its
unique ability to act as a firewall for real-time voice and video using
IP networks, the Polycom Gateway can be configured to securely
route IP traffic between private and public networks. Network managers
can be assured of high security, top-quality communications
complete with a suite of conference management applications.
