<strong>Recipe</strong>s - Smoothies, Milkshakes and Frappes (continued)<br />

Coffee and Banana Thickshake<br />

Serves: 2-3. Makes approximately 750mls<br />

1 ripe banana, peeled, chopped<br />

30mls espresso, cold<br />

250mls (1 cup) milk<br />

2 scoops (90g) vanilla ice cream<br />

4 ice cubes<br />

1. Place ingredients into blender jug. Place<br />

the lid securely onto the jug.<br />

2. Press SMOOTHIE button. When the cycle<br />

is complete, the motor will stop. Remove<br />

the lid and pour into serving glasses.<br />

Tip: If you don’t have access to a coffee<br />

machine, use 2 teaspoons instant coffee<br />

dissolved in 1 ½ tablespoons boiling water.<br />

Refrigerate until cold.<br />

Iced Coffee<br />

Serves: 3. Makes approximately 900mls<br />

60mls espresso, cold<br />

500mls (2 cups) milk<br />

2 scoops (90g) vanilla ice cream<br />

4 ice cubes<br />

Whipped cream and cocoa powder, to serve<br />

1. Place ingredients into blender jug. Place<br />

the lid securely onto the jug.<br />

2. Press SMOOTHIE button. When the cycle<br />

is complete, the motor will stop. Remove<br />

the lid and pour into serving glasses.<br />

3. Top with whipped cream and dust with<br />

cocoa powder.<br />

Tip: If you don’t have access to a coffee<br />

machine, use 1 tablespoon instant coffee<br />

dissolved in ¼ cup boiling water. Refrigerate<br />

until cold.<br />

Mango Lassi<br />

Serves: 4-6. Makes 1.25 litres<br />

450g mango pieces<br />

1 cup vanilla yoghurt<br />

6 ice cubes<br />

325mls milk<br />

Chopped pistachios and ground cardamom,<br />

to garnish<br />

1. Place ingredients into blender jug. Place<br />

the lid securely onto the jug.<br />

2. Press SMOOTHIE button. When the cycle<br />

is complete, the motor will stop. Remove<br />

the lid and pour into serving glasses.<br />

3. Garnish with pistachios and dust with<br />

ground cardamom.<br />

Passionfruit and Mint Iced tea<br />

Serves: 4. Makes 1.25 litres<br />

500mls cold tea<br />

¼ cup icing sugar<br />

½ cup fresh mint leaves<br />

170ml can passionfruit pulp<br />

Extra mint leaves, to garnish<br />

1. Place tea, sugar and mint into blender jug.<br />

Place the lid securely onto the jug.<br />

2. Blend on speed 1 for 10 seconds. Remove<br />

the lid and pour into a serving jug. Stir<br />

through passionfruit pulp.<br />

3. Garnish with extra mint leaves. Serve on<br />

ice.<br />

Tip: To make tea, use tea bag or tea leaves to<br />

make tea to your desired strength. Refrigerate<br />

overnight or until cold.<br />
