3. Networking<br />
Together with the team and local CPC member organizations conduct Community<br />
Orientations about the mandate and work of the Civilian Protection Component<br />
Maintain close relationships with and assist in the coordination of activities with<br />
other local CPC member organizations<br />
Establish and maintain contacts and relationships with civilian stakeholders,<br />
government authorities, paramilitaries and militias associated with the peace process<br />
and bodies of the peace structure<br />
Work closely with and share information with the NP Philippines Conflict<br />
Prevention Program (CPP) at field level<br />
4. Protective accompaniment<br />
Lead in the provision of protective accompaniment to vulnerable and at risk<br />
civilians, particularly women and children during and after armed clashes, in order to<br />
bring them to safer locations;<br />
Provide proactive presence on the ground, in communities that are under direct threat<br />
of violence, especially in buffer zones and other volatile areas<br />
Provide protective accompaniment to relief workers operating in conflict affected<br />
areas<br />
Ensure safe return of internally displaced persons back to their places of origin<br />
Regularly visit IDPs and returnees to ensure that basic services are afforded to them<br />
by allied agencies and the government and provide proactive presence when<br />
necessary.<br />
Duties applicable to all staff<br />
1. Actively work towards the achievement of the goals and mandate of <strong>Nonviolent</strong> <strong>Peaceforce</strong>.<br />
2. Abide by and work in accordance with <strong>Nonviolent</strong> <strong>Peaceforce</strong> values and principles.<br />
3. Abide by and work in accordance with <strong>Nonviolent</strong> <strong>Peaceforce</strong> safety and security policies and<br />
rules<br />
4. Perform any other work related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the line<br />
manager.<br />
