FM Conway collects prestigious industry awards
Leading integrated services provider FM Conway is celebrating after the company scooped
two prestigious industry awards.
FM Conway walked away as winners of the BALI National Landscape Awards 2012 for its
improvement project at Rosendale Road Estate in Lambeth. The project won the category
for Hard Landscaping projects costing more than £1.5 million. Martin Phipps, Contracts
Manager for FM Conway, said: “The £2.75 million project, completed on behalf of the
Peabody Trust which manages the estate, has delivered significant improvements to the
functionality and aesthetics of the estate‟s landscaped areas. The works have provided high
quality enhancements and improved the quality of life for the neighbourhood‟s residents, the
project is a wonderful example of the excellent work we deliver.”
Following hot on the heels of its BALI success, FM Conway then celebrated victory at the
illustrious 2012 Constructing Excellence Awards. The company was the sole winner in the
„Resource Efficiency‟ category for London and the South East for its Asphalt Recycling Plant
and collected the award before more than 300 representatives from the region‟s top
construction companies. The judges were particularly impressed with FM Conway‟s
approach to improving the sustainability of its business operations.
Tim Metcalf, General Manager at FM Conway, said: “The recognition for the asphalt plant
shows that our emphasis on improving the sustainability of our operations is paying
dividends. Winning this distinguished award is a fantastic achievement for FM Conway, and
a testament to our ability to deliver products and services to the highest quality.
The Constructing Excellence Awards are one of the leading built environment awards in the
UK and recognise excellence in construction projects which improve the built environment.

The BALI National Landscape Awards were first introduced in 1976 and are held annually to
recognise members of the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) which have
demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill in the execution of a
wide variety of landscaped schemes.
The awards add to FM Conway‟s impressive tally for 2012, which includes a RoSPA Gold
award for excellence in occupational health and safety and a Green Apple Award for its
resurfacing project at the Port of Dover.
