<strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong> <strong>collects</strong> <strong>prestigious</strong> <strong>industry</strong> <strong>awards</strong><br />

Leading integrated services provider <strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong> is celebrating after the company scooped<br />

two <strong>prestigious</strong> <strong>industry</strong> <strong>awards</strong>.<br />

<strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong> walked away as winners of the BALI National Landscape Awards 2012 for its<br />

improvement project at Rosendale Road Estate in Lambeth. The project won the category<br />

for Hard Landscaping projects costing more than £1.5 million. Martin Phipps, Contracts<br />

Manager for <strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong>, said: “The £2.75 million project, completed on behalf of the<br />

Peabody Trust which manages the estate, has delivered significant improvements to the<br />

functionality and aesthetics of the estate‟s landscaped areas. The works have provided high<br />

quality enhancements and improved the quality of life for the neighbourhood‟s residents, the<br />

project is a wonderful example of the excellent work we deliver.”<br />

Following hot on the heels of its BALI success, <strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong> then celebrated victory at the<br />

illustrious 2012 Constructing Excellence Awards. The company was the sole winner in the<br />

„Resource Efficiency‟ category for London and the South East for its Asphalt Recycling Plant<br />

and collected the award before more than 300 representatives from the region‟s top<br />

construction companies. The judges were particularly impressed with <strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong>‟s<br />

approach to improving the sustainability of its business operations.<br />

Tim Metcalf, General Manager at <strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong>, said: “The recognition for the asphalt plant<br />

shows that our emphasis on improving the sustainability of our operations is paying<br />

dividends. Winning this distinguished award is a fantastic achievement for <strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong>, and<br />

a testament to our ability to deliver products and services to the highest quality.<br />

The Constructing Excellence Awards are one of the leading built environment <strong>awards</strong> in the<br />

UK and recognise excellence in construction projects which improve the built environment.


The BALI National Landscape Awards were first introduced in 1976 and are held annually to<br />

recognise members of the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) which have<br />

demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill in the execution of a<br />

wide variety of landscaped schemes.<br />

The <strong>awards</strong> add to <strong>FM</strong> <strong>Conway</strong>‟s impressive tally for 2012, which includes a RoSPA Gold<br />

award for excellence in occupational health and safety and a Green Apple Award for its<br />

resurfacing project at the Port of Dover.<br />
