F.I.S.L.Y. President’s word Today we are at the 45th European Championship in Sankt Peter Ording. This beach is historical because here the first European Championships has been organised in 1963. Since that time 8 EC and 3 WC have been organised on the beach of Sankt Peter Ording. We are honoured to be your guest and especially in your famous clubhouse. Sankt Peter Ording and the YCSPO are well known for their hospitality as well for the atmosphere. On behalf of all the land yacht pilots of all the classes we thank you for the organisation of this championships. We know it was not easy in this period were we are confronted with a economic crisis to find sponsors. But thanks to the spirit of your club you have made it ! On behalf of all the participants we thank the town of Sankt Peter and the regional government for the support of this event and also the commercial sponsors for their efforts. Anyhow, most important are the land sailors. We hope you enjoy a sportive championship and we wish that the best of you all wil win in the spirit of the Olympic idea. Fair winds Eric Engelbrecht B1 President of Fisly 2
