The Basic objective of NYC
scheme is to set a group of
disciplined and dedicated youth who
have the inclination and spirit to
engage in the task of nation
building. Scheme is implemented
in all 624 District of the country.
The basic objective of the project
was to make aware Youth about
the various developmental scheme
and programmes implemented by
Central Government and State
Government. Under the project
following activities were organized:
1) Workshop
2) 4 days NYC Training
3) District Level Youth Leaders
Convention
4) Resource Mapping in 1940
villages
5) 34 Block Level Livelihood
Generation Training
6) 70 Cluster Level Training
7) 126 school and collage level
programme
5 District level workshop in
Samastipur, Sitamarhi,
|Jehanabad, Motihari and Jamui
of Bihar
One National workshop was
organized at Vigyan Bhawan, New
Delhi on Youth for Population
Stabilization on 11 th July, 2011.
In addition to above awareness
programmes on population
Stabilization were also organized
in seven focus States i.e. Orissa,
Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajsthan,
Madhya Pradesh and
Chhattisgarh.
