1. Introduction This Plan sets out Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s delivery and operational objectives for the four-year period from 2011. It follows on from a series of plans which have successfully guided the Trust’s growth and delivery of its conservation work and it aims to build on the robust and effective operation which has been put in place. As with previous plans, it is designed to provide a framework with four-year targets while at the same time offering sufficient flexibility for opportunities to be taken with maximum benefit to the Trust and the conservation of Cornwall’s natural environment. The Plan has been produced following wide-ranging discussions between staff, Trustees, advisory committees and key volunteers. These discussions reviewed past performance, including successes and failures alike, and considered the challenges the Trust is likely to face in the coming years. Working in partnership with other organisations, within and outside the environmental sector, will be key to our success. This Plan will be provided to existing and potential external partners to highlight opportunities for joint action. Four-year targets for each of the delivery and operational objectives are listed in this Plan along with actions that will enable us to achieve them. This will be achieved through the delivery of annual work programmes with associated budgets and fundraising plans, all set within three-year rolling budgets. Page 2
