One measuring system for all abutments The method for measuring the height of all abutments within the Astra Tech implant system is now the same. All measurements are made in millimeter increments starting at 0 mm from the implant level. This simplified system allows for: • Easier selection of the optimal restorative component • Quicker and more predictable procedure New Abutment Depth Gauge As a result of the reduction in implant-abutment connection sizes and streamlined measuring system, a new Abutment Depth Gauge has been developed with two tips that correspond to the two connection sizes. The tips are clearly marked with bands for measuring the mucosal height over the implant level in millimeters. SMALL Aqua Abutment Depth Gauge mm, REF 24573 LARGE Lilac The new Abutment Depth Gauge can be used for measuring all abutments and components that fit into the implants. 6
Surgical procedures New Surgical Tray The new Surgical Tray has been designed to facilitate the organization of all drills and instruments. The tray is now clearly labeled with the drill type next to each space for simplified set-up, and slots for 5.0 S implant drills are now included. Diagrams indicating surgical progression for each implant diameter have also been added. Instrumentation If you have a Surgical Wrench (REF 24178) and/or Torque Wrench (REF 24075), they can be adapted for used with the new Implant Drivers for installation or final seating of the new carrier-free implants. To do so, you will need the Wrench Adapter. Surgical Tray, REF 24349 Alternatively, the new Ratchet Wrench can be used in combination with the Driver Handle for final seating of the implant (refer to page 3).
