Dr. Dermot Carey is an experienced
management consultant, trainer and
business coach. He formed MRM
Ltd. in 1990 in Ireland dedicated to
supporting professional management
across vital business functions including
Procurement & Supply Chain,
Contracting, Business Process Re-Engineering
and Change Management. The business is under
his personal direction. His career spans 35 years, he has held
a number of senior management positions in both the private
and public sectors.
He is a DBA graduate from The Nottingham Trent University.
Earlier studies included an MPhil at Strathclyde University
and an MSc at the University of Ulster. He was a founder
member of the North/South Public Procurement Initiative.
He was also co-author of the paper “Co-operation to win in
Europe” which has been endorsed by the Department of Finance
in Dublin and formed the basis of the intergovernmental
agreement on the way forward in Public Procurement.

tenure, Huadao Shipping expanded its market share in the region

During his two decade long experience in shipping, Krishna
Prasad has had hands on experience in Ship-broking, Ship-operations
and Ship-Management both from an owner’s perspective
as well as a charterer’s perspective. He was also briefly
involved with Liner shipping and Forwarding. He had been
a visiting faculty in Universities in India and Dubai and conducts
training and educational programmes in specific areas of
shipping commerce.

Hussein Hachem is Aramex’s Chief Executive for the Gulf
region of ARAMEX, one of the leading global providers of
total transportation solutions, currently listed on the Dubai
Financial Market (DFM: ARMX).
Hachem holds a BA from the American University of Beirut
and has completed a number of executive development and
management programmes namely from the Business School
of Wharton University in Pennsylvania, USA.
Hachem started his 18-year career with ARAMEX as a
management trainee then moved up the ladder successfully
to fulfill the role of the General Manager in Kuwait, and the
General Manager in Sri Lanka. Hachem later became the Vice
President for Oman and UAE, before his recent position as
CEO for the Gulf Region.
He is an active member of the company’s Global Management
Team and offers a wide knowledge of the logistics and
transportation industry and in depth understanding of current
and future markets trends
Soma Sekhar started his career with Rolta India in 1988 in
Mumbai. His Professional background includes twenty years
of varied experience in India and the Middle East. He Worked
with Intergraph Middle East before incorporating TrackIT Solutions
three and half years ago. He is instrumental in conceptualizing,
creating and running TrackIT successfully from its
inception. He is a known name in RFID, GIS and Enterprise
Mobility domains in Middle East.
He is traveled widely and maintains close interaction with various

from ASPRS, U.S.A. He is involved with SCLGME for the
