Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1967<br />

Prohibition of Entry into Safety Zone,<br />

HillÐ1 Exploration Well<br />

Pursuant to the power conferred by Section<br />

119 of the Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act<br />

1967, all vessels are prohibited, other than<br />

vessels engaged in or in connection with the<br />

petroleum exploration operations authorised<br />

under that Act, from entering or remaining in the<br />

safety zone specified in the schedule, without<br />

my consent in writing.<br />

SCHEDULE<br />

(1) The area within a distance of 500 metres<br />

measured from each point of the outer edge<br />

of the drilling vessel known as Ocean<br />

Epoch.<br />

(2) The area or areas within a distance of 500<br />

metres measured from each point of the<br />

outer edge of any anchor buoys or other<br />

equipment deployed from that drilling<br />

vessel.<br />

while the vessel is engaged in operations<br />

associated with drilling of the HillÐ1 exploration<br />

well situated at or about the point of Latitude<br />

38¡ 48Õ South, Longitude 141¡ 50Õ East over the<br />

period from mid December 2003 until mid<br />

January 2004.<br />

WATER AUTHORITY<br />

Proposed Port Fairy Water District Extension<br />

Notice is hereby given that the Portland<br />

Coast Region Water Authority, pursuant to<br />

Section 96 of the Water Act 1989, proposes to<br />

seek to declare a Port Fairy Water District<br />

Extension. The area included in the district<br />

extension includes that in the vicinity of Albert<br />

Road and the Port Fairy/Hamilton Road.<br />

Full details of the proposal and a copy of the<br />

plan showing the extent of the district are<br />

available for inspection free of charge at the<br />

AuthorityÕs office, 15 Townsend Street, Portland,<br />

during office hours.<br />

Members of the public are invited to make<br />

submission on the proposal. Any person making<br />

a submission or objection to the proposal should<br />

set out grounds for any objections raised in the<br />

submission.<br />

The Authority will consider all submissions<br />

received within one month of this notice.<br />

Pursuant to section 203 and 207 of the<br />

Water Act 1989, notice is hereby given that the<br />

Glenelg Hopkins CMA has declared flood levels<br />

for Port Fairy as shown on Plan No. 560<br />

100Ñ001 without alteration following public<br />

exhibition.<br />
