In the event that you would like to refer others, adults who do not have children attending the<br />

ABT-DSI are also welcomed to apply through the same process.<br />

Based upon this initial review of reference letters, those asked to continue in the process will<br />

complete application paperwork that can be emailed or sent by mail to the applicant. Please indicate<br />

your preferred method of communication within the letter of reference.<br />

Applicants are considered in the order in which they are received and the hiring process will<br />

continue until all positions are filled. MOM/DAD <strong>Chaperones</strong> who have experience in the medical<br />

field and are comfortable driving a 15-passenger van are strongly encouraged to apply. Please direct<br />

ABT Chaperone – Detroit Summer Intensive 2008<br />

Job Description<br />

The ABT – Detroit Summer Intensive Chaperone duties and responsibilities are pivotal to the role that<br />

the Chaperone plays both as an individual and as a member of the Chaperone group that collectively<br />

ensures the utmost safety and accommodations of ABT students as well as the program objectives of<br />

the ABT – Detroit Summer Intensive.<br />

ABT Chaperone duties include:<br />

• Preparation of all facilities used for the ABT – Detroit Summer Intensive;<br />

• Restoring all facilities to their prior condition at its conclusion;<br />

• Around-the-clock supervision of ABT students including the daily schedule of classes and<br />

rehearsals, recreational excursions & weekends;<br />

• A Team-member approach to participation in the daily operations of the intensive;<br />

• Flexibility is essential because various needs arise in the course of each day; chaperone daily<br />

schedule duties may change in order to attend to such needs.<br />

The comprehensive duties and responsibilities of each Chaperone may be augmented and/or amended<br />

based upon the arising needs of the ABT – Detroit Summer Intensive as determined by the Managing<br />

Director.<br />

ABT Chaperone compensation/privileges:<br />

• Full room & board will be provided from June 19, 2008 until check out on July 20, 2008;<br />

• Payment: New <strong>Chaperones</strong>: $1,200; Returning <strong>Chaperones</strong>: $1,300<br />

• One daily technique class (as time & scheduled duties allow);<br />

• Assistant General Manager and the Head Chaperone work collectively to schedule one day off<br />

for each individual Chaperone every 7 – 10 days.<br />

<strong>Chaperones</strong> Contract Dates are Thursday, June 19, 2008 (<strong>Chaperones</strong> move into the dorm and<br />

duties begin) through Sunday, July 20, 2008 (<strong>Chaperones</strong> move out of the dorm). Complete<br />

availability is necessary during this entire period.<br />
