Methodology
‣ After the interview with the either the head teacher
or their representative was completed, the
enumerators started interviewing teachers enlisted
on the register, one at a go to a minimum of six
teachers per school (based on the total number of
teachers employed at the school).
‣ Teachers’ records were also accessed from the head
teachers to verify whether the reasons given by
particular teachers were actually those that
appeared on the records in the head teachers’ or
their representatives’ offices.
‣ Visits were conducted between 8:30-4:00 pm,
excluding break and lunch times
