2011 Client Write-Up System Date Format
System Date Format
Windows 2000
CWU requires that your computer use the MMDDYYYY date format. To set your
computer to use this format, locate the version of Windows you are using and follow
the instructions listed.
1. Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.
2. Double-click Regional Options.
3. Select the Date tab.
4. Set the date to the MM/dd/yyyy format.
5. In the Date separator field, select to use a forward slash (“/”) from the drop list.
6. Click OK.
Windows XP
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Regional and Language Options.
3. From the Regional Options tab, click the Customize button.
4. On the Customize Regional Options dialog box, select the Date tab.
5. In the Short date format field, either type MM/dd/yyyy or select this format
using the drop list.
6. In the Date separator field, select to use a forward slash (“/”) from the drop list.
7. Click OK.
Windows Vista
1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Click Clock, Language, and Region.
3. Click Regional and Language Options.
4. Click the Customize this format button.
5. Select the Date tab.
6. In the Short date format field, select the MM/dd/yyyy format using the drop
list.
7. Click OK.
Windows 7
1. Open the Control Panel (All Items view).
2. Click Clock, Language, and Region.
3. Click Region and Language.
4. Select the Formats tab.
5. In the Short date field, select the MM/dd/yyyy format using the drop list.
