JUST A FEW HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2010-2011<br />
JULY, 2011<br />
• <strong>St</strong>. Mary’s won the Class 2 <strong>St</strong>ate Soccer Championship.<br />
• <strong>St</strong>. Mary’s received extraordinary recognition during their accreditation visit in October receiving an outstanding 4<br />
commendations in education, leadership, mission & values and professional development.<br />
• During Senior Baccalaureate, a total of 38 students were honored in 8 different categories and the senior class boasted 3<br />
valedictorians.<br />
• Fifteen students were featured at the Archdiocesan <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Art Show and 2 students were showcased in the Pasta<br />
House Art Contest.<br />
• Over 125 students were honored during our academic Renaissance Awards in the fall and over 150 students were<br />
honored in the spring.<br />
• Ninety juniors assisted 14 organizations in 6 cities during 2 weeks of service in March.<br />
• Twenty-Four students from all grade levels received scholarships or awards throughout the year including the Legacy<br />
Scholarship, Board of Directors Award and various memorial and financial scholarships.<br />
• <strong>St</strong>. Mary’s saw 26 athletes from 4 sports receive All-Conference Honors.<br />
• Fifteen students assisted with the Solomon Project, helping to build houses in impoverished areas on the weekends last year.<br />
• <strong>St</strong>. Mary’s added 2 honor societies this year with 11 members in the Beta Chi Pi Science Society and 13 members in the<br />
Mu Alpha Theta Math Society.<br />
• The Bocce Club were winners over all the high schools in the league in their first year playing.<br />
• Six faculty members were honored for their work in and out of the classroom this year alone.<br />
