His Messengers or claiming knowledge of the unseen world, or<br />
claiming Prophethood or supporting the claims of such people or<br />
appealing for help from other than Allah for things that only Allah<br />
can do, or seeking refuge with other than Allah or dua to other<br />
than Allah <strong>and</strong> Istighathah (seeking aid from the dead).<br />
Kufr <strong>by</strong> Actions occurs <strong>by</strong> <strong>com</strong>mitting any act of Shirk such as<br />
prostrating before an idol, a stone, a grave, or making offering to<br />
them, or <strong>by</strong> casting the Book of Allah into filthy places, practicing<br />
magic, learning, or teaching it.<br />
Kufr <strong>by</strong> beliefs of the heart is believing in that which is contrary<br />
to what Islam preaches regarding issues whose legitimacy or<br />
lawfulness, prohibition or incumbency are unanimously <strong>and</strong><br />
decisively agreed upon, or <strong>com</strong>monly known in Islam; such as<br />
believing that Allah has a partner or believing that fornication,<br />
consumption of liquor or usury are lawful, or the Salaat is not<br />
obligatory, etc.<br />
