A special assembly was held to welcome the<br />
students, faculty, and staff <strong>of</strong> MLEC to a new school year.<br />
This "Meet and Greet" assembly was our first trip to the F<br />
Cafeteria.<br />
During the assembly, students were introduced to<br />
our new principal Ms. Rosa D. Borgen. Ms. Borgen<br />
expressed how excited she is to be our principal and<br />
reminded us that she has high expectations for each<br />
individual students and for us as a school.<br />
Also present was Ms. Thomas, our returning viceprincipal,<br />
who encouraged students to do well and get<br />
involved in activities. <strong>Our</strong> returning assistant principal,<br />
Mr. Garcia, spoke to the students about the importance <strong>of</strong><br />
" .. . doing what has to be done." As a whole, the administration<br />
reminded students that " Failure Is Not An<br />
We also met the security staff and our new student<br />
services personnel. Ms. Fernandez is now the head <strong>of</strong> a<br />
brand new staff. Students were pleased to find out the<br />
names and see the faces <strong>of</strong> the persons they will need to<br />
turn to in times <strong>of</strong> joy and sorrow.<br />
