FOR THE FOLLOWING TENDERS (BIDS) FOR PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF
VARIOUS TYPES OF WORKSHOPS IN FIVE REGIONS

ME/016/2011-2012/CST/W/10 Ikwiriri Folk Development College – Electrical Workshop Coast
ME/016/2011-2012/MAR/W/12 Kisangwa Folk Development College – Carpentry Mara
1. Reference is made to our previous advertisement which was made in the Local Newspaper,
Daily News dated 29 th May, 2012 and to the Bidding Documents which are available at the
Office of the Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Community Development,
Gender and Children regarding the above Bids at various sites in five regions.
2. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children invites
sealed BIDs from BIDDERS registered with Contractors Registration Board (CRB) in Class
Five (5) and above. Bidders may quote for one or two bids only but in each case shall quote
for all items in the tender selected.
3. Interested eligible BIDDERS may obtain further information and arrangements for viewing
and inspection of the site from the Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board (MTB), Ministry
of Community Development, Gender and Children, Ground Floor Room No. G3, P.O.
Box 3448, Dar Es Salaam from 08:30am to 03.30pm, Monday to Friday excluding public
holidays.
4. Bidding documents may be obtained at office of the Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board
(MTB), Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children, Ground Floor
Room No. G3, P.O. Box 3448, Dar Es Salaam by any BIDDER upon payment of non –
refundable fee of TShs 50,000/=. The method of payment will be by cash to the Permanent
Secretary, Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children, P.O. Box 3448,
Dar Es Salaam. BIDDERS may obtain further information at the same office.

5. The bid in one original plus two copies accompanied by Bid Securing Declaration instead of
Bid Security as shown in our earlier advertisement shall be enclosed in separate plain inner
envelope and marked ‘Original’ and ‘Copies’ as appropriate, sealed in one plain outer
envelope and properly addressed to “The Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board (MTB),
Ministry of Community Development, Gender and Children, Ground Floor Room No.
G3, P.O. Box 3448, Dar Es Salaam. Tenders will be opened on 28 th June 2012 at 10:00
hours, local time.
