Corrective Action Required On Both Public And Private Properties: • Private sewer line problems could account for 15 -20 20% of the City’s I&I problem. ‣Corrective actions include: • Notification to property owner of the sewer problem and possible code violations (Plumbing Code and Wastewater Ordinance). • Liens on property until the violations are corrected. • Increase sewer user fee to correct the aforementioned violations. • Public property I & I abatement alone would not solve the aforementioned issues.
Public I & I and SSO Abatement Corrective Action: Replacement, Rehabilitation and/or Upgrades are required for the following sewer infrastructure: t • lift stations (high priority projects). • gravity sewer lines (selected areas based upon sewer system evaluation studies and service requests). • sewer force mains (major/aged high pressure lines).
