ITS WHY<br />

The aim of ITS is to give visibility, support and voice to young talents from every corner of the globe and offer the chance to have their work shown<br />

to a jury made up of real experts from the fashion, accessories and jewelry design world. ITS gives real support with a mix of cash prizes and a<br />

wide spectrum of job opportunities. ITS, presented by OTB, is a platform created and developed by E V E in cooperation with DIESEL, YKK and<br />

SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS which are main partners.<br />

ITS WHAT<br />

<strong>International</strong> <strong>Talent</strong> <strong>Support</strong> originally conceived as a fashion contest, has evolved into a multi-disciplinary platform for creatives;<br />

ITS FASHION, the established fashion competition for final-year students of fashion & design schools and young designers;<br />

ITS ACCESSORIES, the only contest in the world entirely dedicated to all types of fashion accessories;<br />

ITS JEWELRY, the Jewelry Design Competition open to all schools of jewelry design worldwide and to young jewelry creators;<br />

Fashion Collection of the Year: €15,000 to<br />

be used towards the design and realization of<br />

a new collection to be showcased at ITS 2014,<br />

and the opportunity to be part of next edition’s<br />

jury.<br />

Fashion Special Prize: € 5.000, and POP-<br />

UPDESIGNGALLERY, interactive window<br />

capturing the expressive language evolution<br />

of the contemporary designer, offers the possibility<br />

to freely showcase their work for one<br />

week with a set-up of strong visual impact.<br />

Accessories Collection of the Year:<br />

€ 5,000 towards the development of a collection<br />

to be showcased out of competition at<br />

ITS 2014, on which occasion the winner will<br />

also sit on the jury. He/she will also receive visibility<br />

from ModAmont <strong>International</strong> fair.<br />

YKK Award: €10,000 cash prize and YKK’s<br />

support in developing his/her career in fashion.<br />

The winner will be also featured in the<br />

September issue of Dazed&Confused, the<br />

prestigious British magazine.<br />

Swarovski Elements Jewelry Award:<br />

€10,000 cash prize and the opportunity<br />

to attend a 6-month internship at the<br />

Swarovski headquarters in Wattens (Austria).<br />

Swatch Award: €5,000 and collaboration<br />

with Swatch on future creative projects.<br />

Diesel Award: supports the winner with a €<br />

25,000 cash prize plus a 6-month internship<br />

with the Diesel Creative Team at their headquarters<br />

in Breganze (Vicenza).<br />

Vogue <strong>Talent</strong>s Award: the publication within<br />

2013 on the Vogue <strong>Talent</strong>s website of a photo<br />

shoot of the entire collection, with an interview<br />

to the winner.<br />

yoox.com Award: The winner of the will create<br />

design and art,an exclusive garment, that will<br />

Modateca Award: €3,000 to the most innovative<br />

knitwear collection’s concept.<br />

The Eyes on <strong>Talent</strong>s Award will assign to a contestant of ITS FASHION or ITS ACCESSORIES € 3,000 and featured profile communication<br />

to all Eyes on <strong>Talent</strong>s member brands.<br />

ITS searches worldwide and scouts young talents that every year send their creations, visions and dreams to E V E headquarters in<br />

Trieste, Italy.<br />

<strong>International</strong> <strong>Talent</strong> <strong>Support</strong> would not be possible without the support of our special partners.<br />

DIESEL, main partner for ITS FASHION, has established the Diesel Award offering the finalists the most tangible way to support their<br />

breakthrough into the international fashion scene. The prize consists of €25,000 that the winner can use to promote his/her work in the<br />

best possible way and invest in their career. In addition, the winner will be invited at the Diesel Creative Team at its HQ in Italy for a sixmonth<br />

internship.<br />

yoox.com will offer one of the finalists of the “fashion” category the yoox.com Award. The winner will create with the support of yoox.com<br />

- the world’s leading virtual store for multi-brand fashion, design and art,an exclusive garment, that will be sold online all over the world.<br />

The Modateca Award will assign €3,000 to the most innovative knitwear collection’s concept


YKK is the main partner of ITS ACCESSORIES and supports the only contest in the world dedicated to all typologies of fashion accessories.<br />

The YKK Award will assign to the winner a €10,000 cash prize and YKK’s support in developing his/her career in fashion. The<br />

winner will be covered in the September issue of Dazed&Confused, the prestigious British magazine. The Accessories Collection of the<br />

Year will assign € 5,000 towards the development of a collection to be showcased out of competition at ITS 2014, on which occasion the<br />

winner will also sit on the jury. Moreover the winner of the Accessories Collection of the Year will be offered the chance by ModAmont - the<br />

<strong>International</strong> Tradeshow of Trimmings and Accessories for Fashion to run an exhibition of his/her creations at the next show in September<br />

2013 and will be featured in the show’s catalogue and website.<br />

SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS is the main partner of ITS JEWELRY - the Jewelry Design Competition, open to all jewelry design academies<br />

worldwide and to young jewerly creators, will grant the SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Jewelry Award, consisting of a €10,000 cash prize<br />

and a 6-month internship at the Swarovski headquarters in Wattens (Austria). SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS has asked finalists to create a<br />

jewerly piece inspired by the design briefing “Ecopolis” and will provide a special assortment of colors and shapes of which the finalists<br />

are free to choose for their designs.<br />

ITS is also starting a new, exciting synergy with Eyes On <strong>Talent</strong>s, the online platform used by global design-led brands and publications<br />

to discover and connect with today’s best talent, that will assign to a contestant of ITS FASHION or ITS ACCESSORIES the Eyes on<br />

<strong>Talent</strong>s Award, worth € 3,000 and featured profile communication to all Eyes on <strong>Talent</strong>s member brands.<br />

In the 2013 edition the contest will celebrate a new partner, SWATCH, that will collaborate with ITS JEWELRY putting at stake €5,000<br />

and the collaboration with their creative teams, stimulating the finalists to create a project inspired by the briefing “Falling in LOVE with<br />

Style - Swatch beyond the watch”, using innovative techniques and materials.<br />

Our official media partners are Vogue.it/Vogue <strong>Talent</strong>s – the section of Vogue dedicated to talents, published once a year as a supplement<br />

to Vogue Italia’s September issue – and Trieste daily Il Piccolo. Design42day is web media partner.<br />

Heliv, creator of high-tech tools for new transparent lighting products, Idea Prototipi, specialised in bringing ideas to life, and Foscarini,<br />

a company that conceives, develops and produces more than lamps, pure emotions - are new ITS 2013 technical supporters. The Office<br />

is our confirmed technical supporter.<br />

Develon, the internet partner of ITS, is a company specialised in developing projects that integrate both interactive and traditional communication<br />

and www.itsweb.org is operational thanks to their contribution. Working closely with ITS for a long time now, Develon always<br />

finds the simplest and most innovative solutions.<br />

ITS 2013 is organized in collaboration with Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, Turismo FVG, Comune di Trieste, Acegas APS and under<br />

the patronage of Ministero dei Beni Culturali.<br />

The city: ITS is in Trieste… an alternative setting, an untouched area in the middle of Europe and outside the institutional fashion circuit,<br />

in a border city overlooking the open sea.<br />

and supporting the ITS FAMILY, composed of over 400 ITS former finalists, with news and info on their latest projects. ITS is on line<br />

(Milan), Iuav (Venice), Polimoda (Florence), Shenkar College (Tel-Aviv), S. Francisco Academy of Arts, Cogonogacco (Tokyo).<br />

Around the world: In order to bring ITS around the globe, in spring a Scouting Tour hits different schools. The network extends from<br />

schools, to fashion houses, to press and opinion leaders.<br />
