WORLDHOTELS MICE booking incentive benefits CARE
Frankfurt, May 20, 2010 – One of the world’s leading groups of independent
hotels, WORLDHOTELS, is pleased to announce its new booking incentive for
meeting planners in the UK and Germany which will benefit the humanitarian
organisation CARE.
From June 1 to December 31, WORLDHOTELS will donate £50 to CARE
Germany-Luxemburg for every completed booking that is worth at least
£5,000. That means a booking of £25,000 will, for example, result in a
donation of £250, a booking of £100,000 will earn a donation of £1,000, and
so on. WORLDHOTELS will make the donation in the name of the booker and
the MICE agent will receive a donation certificate.
CARE is a leading aid and development charity with a global reputation for
excellence and over 60 years of experience. It is renowned for fighting poverty
and inequality in more than 70 countries and offering aid to millions of people
worldwide.
Based in Germany, CARE Germany-Luxemburg forms part of CARE
International and concentrates its work on helping to alleviate hunger and
desperation around the world. People wishing to donate money to the
WORLDHOTELS charity of CARE can do so at www.worldhotels.com/care or
www.care.de.
“We are very honoured to be partnering with CARE”, says Robert Hornman,
managing director of WORLDHOTELS. “Our meeting initiative offers an
important two-way benefit for our meeting planners. Not only do they get to
use one of our unique hotels for their events, more importantly, they can also
help to fund projects for one of the world’s leading humanitarian
organisations. We very much hope this partnership helps those living in less
fortunate circumstances.”
About CARE
CARE is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organisations which helps to fight poverty
and injustice in more than 70 countries around the world. With more than 60 years of
practical and hands-on experience in emergency relief and development cooperation, its
programmes tackle the deep-seated root causes of poverty, not just the consequences.
CARE holds a consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council
and helps people in need, regardless of their political belief, religion or ethnicity. Recent
figures have shown that, each year, CARE helps over 59 million people to find routes out of
poverty.
CARE Deutschland-Luxemburg is based in Germany and forms part of CARE International.
Following World War II, a consortium of 22 American organisations combined their efforts
and delivered more than 10 million CARE packages to war-torn Germany where millions of
people were suffering from starvation. Out of thankfulness for this generous act, CARE
Deutschland was founded in 1980 and today operates under the name CARE
Deutschland-Luxemburg e.V. The organisation has been awarded with certifications by DZI,
an independent institute monitoring the usage of donations of charitable NGO’s, and by
the auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers for transparency and accountability.
