National Trust Venue Hire | Harper’s Mansion
Berrima
Harper's Mansion, Garden and Maze is available to hire for weddings,
events, filming and photography. Nestled on a hill overlooking historic
Berrima, this two-storey residence was built circa 1834 by James and
Mary Harper.
Whatever the season the garden provides an elegant stage for making
your vows with a variety of formal and informal backdrops for the
photographs that will record the great day. The garden offers privacy
and ample space for your guests to wander.
Harpers Mansion is also home to the largest maze in the state, which
can be a wonderful attraction for younger and adult guests alike.
Children’s parties are available at the maze, and other bookings for
functions are also welcome.
The unique maze and expansive strolling gardens at Harper's Mansion
makes the site an increasing popular location for commercial and
artistic photography and film making. Over the last year short films,
commercial advertising segments and fashion shoots have been made
at Harper's.

CATERING & EQUIPMENT HIRE
For weddings, hirers must arrange their own catering. Harper’s Mansion can not accommodate sit-down
dinner receptions, but finger-food and drinks are welcome in the garden, while the photographer record
your special day.
No throwing of rice or confetti but rose petals and pot pourri are allowed.
The gardens remain open to the public, but only one event is held at a time and visitors do tend to respect
the privacy of weddings and functions.
Toilet facilities are not available, but port-a-loos may be commercially hired.

BOOKING & PAYMENT
If you are interested in booking Harper’s Mansion for your event, please complete a booking form and
return it to the property. A non-refundable deposit of $275 must be paid upon booking. Final guest
numbers must be submitted, and the full balance must be paid one week prior to your event. For
photography or filming, $50 deposit must be paid upon booking.
DIRECTIONS
Berrima is easy to get to by car as it is about 3kms off the Hume Highway (Moss Vale exit), about 125kms
south of Sydney. Limited parking available in Wilkinson Street.
Some parts of the garden are wheelchair accessible.
