■ DATES ● May intensive program May 6 th to May 31 st 2013 Orientation day: Monday, May 6 th ● July intensive program July 1 st to July 26 th 2013 Orientation day: Monday, July 1 st ■ PLACE European Business School 37, 39 bd Murat 75016 Paris ■ GUIDELINES ● Attendance is compulsory ● Total Contact Hours: 90 ● Total (US) credit hours: 8 ● Total (Europe) ECTS credits: 8 ● Classes held 4 days per week ● Language of instruction: English ● Computer and Internet facilities are provided ■ COST ● Tuition Fees: The cost of this 4 week intensive program is 1 850 € (inclusive of Paris travel Pass Navigo 2 zones). Institutions may also set up a student exchange system to cover the program costs. ● Accommodation: Residence accommodation has been arranged at the Residhome Apparthotel in Paris / La Defense. ■ PROGRAMS AND BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION Doing Business in Europe This program will introduce students to the particularities of European business culture, focusing on the realities of doing business in Europe. The program is structured around 3 modules: European Management, European Marketing and French Cultural Studies. ● EUROPEAN MANAGEMENT (30 contact Hours) 3 credits ● Management Practices in Europe The different strategies and practices of management in today’s Europe will be outlined, with particular emphasis on a comparative study of what is done in the E.U. and the rest of the world. ● European Business Intelligence The full range of B.I. tools currently in use in the E.U. will be presented. It will allow students to apply what they have learned to their home environment. ● EUROPEAN MARKETING (30 contact Hours) 3 credits ● Marketing in Europe Today This course will provide students with an introduction to contemporary European Marketing with particular emphasis placed on study cases (e.g. Cartier, Danone, LVMH…). This course aims at widening students’ horizons by presenting what is done here in Europe in terms of marketing and what may be applied in their home environment. ● Marketing Project This project-based business course will serve as a connection between all the theoretical courses of this program. Guided by their professor, students will have to present a successful marketing strategy for a foreign product in Europe. ● FRENCH CULTURAL STUDIES (30 Contact Hours) 2 credits ● French for beginners This course is designed to give students the must-knows of French language: i.e. asking directions, ordering food, basic conversation… ● French Culture & Society Interesting aspects of France with a special emphasis on Paris and French culture will be addressed in this course. In addition to some essential history, a brief introduction to wine appreciation will be included.
