■ PROGRAMS AND BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION<br />
Do<strong>in</strong>g Bus<strong>in</strong>ess <strong>in</strong> Europe<br />
This program will <strong>in</strong>troduce students to the<br />
particularities of European bus<strong>in</strong>ess culture,<br />
focus<strong>in</strong>g on the realities of do<strong>in</strong>g bus<strong>in</strong>ess<br />
<strong>in</strong> Europe.<br />
The program is structured around 3 modules:<br />
European Management, European Market<strong>in</strong>g<br />
and French Cultural Studies.<br />
● EUROPEAN MANAGEMENT<br />
(30 contact Hours)<br />
3 credits<br />
● Management Practices <strong>in</strong> Europe<br />
The different strategies and practices of<br />
management <strong>in</strong> today’s Europe will be<br />
outl<strong>in</strong>ed, with particular emphasis on a<br />
comparative study of what is done <strong>in</strong> the<br />
E.U. and the rest of the world.<br />
● European Bus<strong>in</strong>ess Intelligence<br />
The full range of B.I. tools currently <strong>in</strong> use<br />
<strong>in</strong> the E.U. will be presented. It will allow<br />
students to apply what they have learned to<br />
their home environment.<br />
● EUROPEAN MARKETING<br />

● Market<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> Europe Today<br />
This course will provide students with an<br />
<strong>in</strong>troduction to contemporary European<br />
Market<strong>in</strong>g with particular emphasis placed<br />
on study cases (e.g. Cartier, Danone,<br />
LVMH…). This course aims at widen<strong>in</strong>g<br />
students’ horizons by present<strong>in</strong>g what is<br />
done here <strong>in</strong> Europe <strong>in</strong> terms of market<strong>in</strong>g<br />
and what may be applied <strong>in</strong> their home<br />
environment.<br />
● Market<strong>in</strong>g Project<br />
This project-based bus<strong>in</strong>ess course will<br />
serve as a connection between all the<br />
theoretical courses of this program. Guided<br />
by their professor, students will have to<br />
present a successful market<strong>in</strong>g strategy for<br />
a foreign product <strong>in</strong> Europe.<br />
● FRENCH CULTURAL STUDIES<br />
(30 Contact Hours)<br />
2 credits<br />
● French for beg<strong>in</strong>ners<br />
This course is designed to give students the<br />
must-knows of French language: i.e. ask<strong>in</strong>g<br />
directions, order<strong>in</strong>g food, basic conversation…<br />
● French Culture & Society<br />
Interest<strong>in</strong>g aspects of France with a special<br />
emphasis on <strong>Paris</strong> and French culture will<br />
be addressed <strong>in</strong> this course. In addition to<br />
some essential history, a brief <strong>in</strong>troduction<br />
to w<strong>in</strong>e appreciation will be <strong>in</strong>cluded.<br />
Cultural visits will be l<strong>in</strong>ked to the content<br />
of this unit.<br />
