<strong>equipped</strong> <strong>with</strong> <strong>Hypertac</strong>® contacts<br />

<strong>Hypertac</strong> launches its new <strong>PC</strong>/<strong>104+</strong> ruggedized<br />

2mm <strong>connector</strong> which benefits from the<br />

advantages of the hyperboloid contact technology,<br />

dedicated to <strong>PC</strong>B stacking.<br />

The unique <strong>Hypertac</strong> contacts provide an improvement<br />

of the <strong>PC</strong>/104 platform performances used in harsh environments and guarantee:<br />

- no contact discontinuity (down to 2ns) thanks to the immunity to shocks and vibrations,<br />

- extreme fretting corrosion resistance,<br />

- a better signal integrity and matched impedance.<br />

The <strong>Hypertac</strong> ruggedized <strong>PC</strong>/<strong>104+</strong> meets the form factor space saving requirement, enabling<br />

<strong>PC</strong>/104 based platforms to be used in a greater range of industries and applications than<br />

previously possible.<br />

The traditional stackable design of the <strong>PC</strong>/<strong>104+</strong> eliminates the need for backplanes or metal<br />

card cages which are found throughout the range of embedded computing devices used in<br />

military systems. <strong>Hypertac</strong>’s <strong>PC</strong>/<strong>104+</strong> is interchangeable <strong>with</strong> other <strong>PC</strong>/<strong>104+</strong> products and<br />

provides engineers <strong>with</strong> a <strong>high</strong> <strong>reliability</strong> interconnect solution for their applications thanks to<br />

the superior hyperboloid contact technology. It will improve the performance and <strong>reliability</strong> of all<br />

current <strong>PC</strong>/104 bus architectures in existing applications, whilst establishing a <strong>high</strong>er standard<br />

for the industry.<br />

This <strong>connector</strong> is ideal for space and aeronautics industry applications. In particular, the<br />

materials used are in conformity <strong>with</strong> the space industry’s requirement for outgassing.
