a wide variety of options when
it comes to activity. Summer in North
Clackamas County comes alive with
family fun at parades, Farmers’ Markets
and festivals.
Happy Valley
The summer event season begins
July 4th with a day-long community
celebration in Happy Valley, including
a bicycle parade, petting zoo, plenty
of food and live music and concluding
with a fireworks extravaganza. Visit

Day in Damascus
Late July visit Damascus for events
beginning with a pancake breakfast.
This community event includes Boring
& Sandy Fire Districts’ Safety
Fair, a petting zoo, pony rides, entertainment,
quilt show and sale and

Milwaukie Daze
Milwaukie spreads out the welcome
mat to locals and visitors in July for
Milwaukie Daze. This two-day celebration
features a parade, family
games & food, poetry readings, live
music and fireworks over the river.

Chautauqua Festival
Each year the City of Gladstone
features a 3-day Festival with familyoriented
fun in the city’s local park,
including artisan vendors and food
booths, live entertainment, parade,
senior day, street dance and beer
garden. The celebration also features
a royalty coronation, art exhibit, historical
display, farmers market, chili
cook-off and a movie in the park for

Pickathon
For those with “Indie-Roots”, Pickathon
is the place to be in early August.
Located at a local farm, this event features
35+ bands on 3 outdoor stages
and 2 indoor venues. Guests are invited

Boring Station Celebration
September means time for Boring
Station Celebration where this small
community pulls out all the stops for
a fun-family event filled with games,
food, raffle and silent auction and
musical entertainment. The celebration
also serves as the last day of the
