The North Clackamas area has seen substantial investment and new development in
the past few years.
Growth of the regional shopping
mall, the advent of multi-use
development, development
within the urban growth boundary,
communities enlivened by visitors
and residents; all are part of the North
Clackamas County’s reach into the future
while holding in esteem the past
that brought us here.
This is the home of Bob’s Red Mill
natural grain products, NatureBake,
offering their signature Dave’s Killer
Bread, Michelle’s Truffles, and Just
Delicious Bakery, the esteemed sugar-free
bakery.
The area has excellent transportation
access on I-205 and is a thriving
regional center blessed with numerous
Class A office buildings, shopping,
a wide variety of restaurants, educational
facilities, medical services and
more.
This growing area has a population
of 242,000 within a 5 mile radius.
Major employers include Kaiser Sunnyside
Medical Center, Tree Of Life
NW, Warn Industries Inc., Precision
Cast Parts, Pacific Seafood Group,
Fred Meyer Inc Warehouse, U S F
Reddaway, Komfort Corp., Costco
Wholesale Corp., and Cleanpak International.
This is home to I-205 Light Rail
Green Line, providing transportation
to and from Clackamas Regional
Town Center to Portland’s Gateway
District, Portland International Airport,
Gresham, downtown Portland
and Hillsboro.
The 1.2 million square foot Clackamas
Town Center Mall has added
245,000 square feet of new retail/
entertainment space in a “Family
Lifestyle Center” concept with shops
that open to the public plazas and
walkways rather than into the larger
structure. The phased development
of Eagles Landing in Happy Valley
continues to evolve, with homes and
retail space as well as commercial offerings.
The North Clackamas Revitalization
Area Urban Renewal District
has been established to support development
of the area. Included is
the Overland Park neighborhood, as a
safe, clean and affordable mixed use
residential neighborhood that provides
retail, economic, educational,
transportation and recreational opportunities.
Clearly the North Clackamas area is
undergoing great change and investment
now and in the upcoming years.
It is a great location that is only getting
better as it transitions into a fully
developed regional center.
