OPTIMALLY
USED IN THE
EARLY STAGES
OF OSTEO-
ARTHRITIS
Crespine Gel is indicated for use in the treatment of patients suffering
from osteoarthritis pain in the knee who do not respond to
other treatments for mild to moderate osteoarthritis.
• Recommended for patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis
• To be used as an alternative to NSAIDs and other pain relief
medications
• Ideal for patients who experience allergic reactions or other sideeffects
from the use of NSAIDs and other pain relief medications
• Suitable for patients who require a quick return to normal activity
An in-office treatment, Crespine Gel comes ready-to-use and takes
10-20 minutes to administer in a single injection.
Crespine Gel © is a registered product under the essential requirements of Annex I of the
Council Directive 93/42/EEC. Certificate Registration no. 368777 MRA, CE 0297.
I first began using Crespine Gel when I started at
NIMI in November 2010. I do a lot of injections with
the use of x-ray, including hips. In a short period
of time, I treated about 20 hips with Crespine Gel
and I am impressed by the immediate effect it has
on the patients I have treated. Most of them have
experienced significant improvement immediately!
I look forward with excitement to the long-term
follow-up of these patients.
Dr Göran Skog, NIMI (Norwegian Institute for Sports
Medicine)
Throughout 2010 I treated many patients with
Crespine Gel, giving injections in ankles, knees,
hips and shoulders. I find it to be a very exciting
product. Crespine Gel seems to have a longerlasting
effect than other types of hyaluronic acid
products and cortisone. This means less-frequent
injections for the patient and less expense.
Dr. Rafn Lindal Björnsson,
NIMI (Norwegian Institute for Sports Medicine)

Using Crespine Gel
is simple. Remove
the syringe from
the package and
it is ready for
use –there is no
measuring or
prep work of any
kind. Administering
Crespine Gel
takes only 10-20
minutes.
THE CRESPINE ADVANTAGE
SINGLE INJECTION
Crespine Gel is a single injection
treatment that takes only 10-20
minutes to administer and lasts
for 6-8 months. This reduces
the risk of infection and increases
patient compliance
and joint fluid.
NO SIDE-EFFECTS
To date, several thousand
patients have been treated with
Crespine Gel and there have
been no reported side-effects
associated with its use.
A NATURALLY-OCCURRING
SUBSTANCE
Crespine Gel is 100% hyaluronic
acid, a naturally-occurring
substance in the body that is
an important component of
articular cartilage.
COST EFFECTIVE
Crespine Gel costs half the price
of other intraarticular injectables
for osteoarthritis treatment and
requires only a single injection
to achieve effectiveness for
6-8 months. This makes it more
afordable for patients and more
cost-effective for healthcare
providers.
NON-ANIMAL ORIGIN
Crespine Gel is a hyaluronanbased
intraarticular injectable
that is not derived from animal
sources. This removes ethical
concerns and eliminates the
danger of allergic reactions.
DELAYS NEED FOR SURGERY
Regular treatment with Crespine
Gel makes cartilage more
flexible and delays the further
deterioration of cartilage, slowing
progress of decline in the
patient’s condition.
As a consulting orthopedic surgeon, I have used Crespine Gel for one year on over 100 selected patients. There have been no complications
in tolerance of the implant ( gel ) . Most of my patients have osteoarthritis of the knee joint. Even for grade III osteoarthritis,
Crespine Gel can be used to delay knee replacement. Good indications for use of Crespine Gel are also rotator cuff tears ( old )
or older patients with secondary osteoarthritis of the shoulder joint. Even the single shot application is something very convenient
for the patient because they only have to come for treatment once, get only one injection with one risk of joint infection. In serious
arthritis cases we had to repeat the injection after 4 months, but the average effectiveness was 6 to 12 months.
Dr Wolfgang Schmitt, OTS Clinic, Marbella

TECHNOLOGY
THAT SETS
A NEW
STANDARD
CRM technology is a 4-step process developed by German
scientists. Crespine Gel is cross-linked and stabilized due to
unique CRM technology. This ensures that the body breaks down
Crespine Gel slowly, resulting in a longer-lasting effect.
STEP 1
Hyaluronic acid is synthesized
from non-animal sources
STEP 2
The first cross-linking of the
hyaluronic acid solution is
completed
STEP 3
Washing and stabilization of
the hyaluronic acid gel takes
place
STEP 4
The second cross-linking is
completed, with the addition
of hyaluronic acid coil-linked
solution. This is followed by
terminal purification.
SINGLE INJECTION TREATMENT
VS
MULTIPLE INJECTION TREATMENT
SINGLE INJECTION
Less frequent follow-up
Reduced risk of infection
Cost effective
Increased patient
satisfaction
VS
MULTIPLE INJECTION
More follow-up visits
Greater infection potential
Higher costs
Inconvenience
to patients
