ince 1992 the Marshall County Community Foundation’s Board of Directors and Grants Committee members have tried very hard to ensure that funding from the general endowment has been equitably distributed across the county. As you can see by the pie chart (right) the Community Foundation has successfully achieved parity in grant giving in Marshall County over the last fifteen years. Almost half of all general endowment grants went to organizations serving the entire county. One third of all grants were equally distributed to the county’s three largest cities: Bremen, Culver and Plymouth. The remaining awards were proportionately distributed to the smaller towns. This geographically well balanced granting is an impressive testament to the awareness and diligence of the community volunteers who have served on our board and grants committee since our inception. The Marshall County Community Foundation truly serves ALL of Marshall County.
