FUTURE OUTLOOK<br />

• So far s<strong>in</strong>ce 1992, I can grow <strong>and</strong> glow from micro hydro<br />

• GTZ-gate technology cooperation has given opportunity a marg<strong>in</strong>al eng<strong>in</strong>eer<br />

to be a hydro technopreneur<br />

• S<strong>in</strong>ce <strong>20</strong>01 , <strong>Indonesia</strong>n Energy Policy is conducive for micro hydro development<br />

• There is no ch<strong>in</strong>a competitor especially for cross-flow turb<strong>in</strong>e<br />

• Foreign market for cross-flow turb<strong>in</strong>e is still prospective especially for micro size<br />

• Hydropower eng<strong>in</strong>eer<strong>in</strong>g is still an emerg<strong>in</strong>g market <strong>in</strong> <strong>Indonesia</strong>, s<strong>in</strong>ce just<br />

7.54% are developed (Micro hydro = 28.31%)<br />

• More challenges for m<strong>in</strong>i hydro turb<strong>in</strong>e manufactur<strong>in</strong>g, especially from ch<strong>in</strong>a<br />

• M<strong>in</strong>i hydro turb<strong>in</strong>e manufactur<strong>in</strong>g (francis, kaplan) will not grow <strong>in</strong> <strong>Indonesia</strong>,<br />

except there is a special protection or another technical & bus<strong>in</strong>ess-cooperation<br />

• Technical & bus<strong>in</strong>ess – cooperation: German-Indo (Voith-PT.Indo,<br />

WKV-PT.Indo) to compete with S<strong>in</strong>ohydro (Ch<strong>in</strong>a manufacturer)<br />

• We may learn from Andritz Hydro (Austria-India)
