Changes at Kerpen – Business Unit Industrial Projects
Dear Sirs,
It is over a year that Kerpen has joined the LEONI group which is located with it’s headquarter in Nuremberg Germany.
There are two changes taking place currently, which we would like to inform you about.
As of March 28 th , 2007, Kerpen as a legal entity within the LEONI group has changed the legal name associated with
the location at Stolberg to “LEONI Kerpen GmbH”. The new logo, as you see on this letter, also demonstrates this
change. The address, the management, your contacts and everything else you associate with KERPEN as a company,
remains at least the same.
The second change is originating from LEONI AG, which takes into account the growth and diversification the company
has taken. From the overall result in revenue of 2.1 billion € in 2006, the Wire & Cable Solutions division contributed
over 1.1 billion €. To address this situation, decision has been taken to implement a more market-oriented interface
to the client. Therefore, a Business Unit structure has been implemented providing one interface for a market to
the benefit of our customers. Two out of the 25 Business Units are managed out of the Stolberg location, which are the
BU Datacom and your partner, the Business Unit Industrial Projects.
This structural change requires re-orientation within LEONI for some units but the business of the “ex” Kerpen Industrial
Project Division, due to its uniqueness within the LEONI organisation, is not affected beside a minor change in
name. We are now called “Business Unit Industrial Projects”. Using this identification, you will find us on the homepage
of LEONI www.leoni.com. The homepage www.leoni-industrial-projects.com will guide you in the future directly to
the data of our business unit.
Of course, for an interims period, we will keep the “known communication channels” to your direct contacts open.
In order to help keeping administrative tasks abreast we would very much appreciate if you could forward the attachment
to departments concerned that the name change will be implemented.

relation where we can provide you with even better solutions and service being part of the world wide LEONI organisation.
