Upgrade the Business Education programmes to international standards.
Madras Christian College has constantly strived to be a forerunner in quality
education. Often students find that what they have learned in class will be a poor
replica of the industry and even the employees feel that applicants are generally
uninformed of how the systems of business work. To this end in view, one of our
distinguished alumni, Ms. Chandrika Tandon has provided financial and moral
support and the college has launched a series of measures to upgrade business
education in the college and help the students of Business Studies (B.Com. and
B.B.A) under the banner of ‘World Class Business Education Programme in MCC’.
To build the Social Work programme to meet international standards.
There has been a steady increase in the need for providing a curriculum on
International Social Work. In response to this, the Centre for International Social
Work was envisaged to harness the potential of international partnerships. In addition
to this, curriculum revision was made to meet international standards and a ‘Study
Abroad Programme’ for a semester from the academic year 2007-2008 at the
University of South Australia, Adelaide, Australia was introduced to expose students
to cross-cultural social work practice.
Enhance the support for students through scholarships and prizes offered by the
college.
In addition to numerous prizes and scholarships that already exist, a total of Rs. 6.50
lakhs was raised to provide scholarships and prizes for students.
