ABSTRACTS<br />

Abstracts submitted in conjunction with the SITC 26th Annual<br />

Meeting are published in the November 2011 issue <strong>of</strong> the Journal<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Immunotherapy</strong>, one <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Society</strong>’s journals. Members <strong>of</strong> SITC<br />

receive this issue as well as online access to the Journal with their<br />

yearly subscription as a benefit <strong>of</strong> membership. For those not<br />

subscribing, abstracts are available on the SITC website, in the<br />

Poster Abstract Book and beginning on page 35 <strong>of</strong> this program.<br />

ORAL ABSTRACTS<br />

SITC has selected the highest scoring abstract entries <strong>for</strong> oral<br />

presentations within the various meeting sessions. Each oral<br />

abstract presentation is followed by a five minute question and<br />

answer period. For a complete listing <strong>of</strong> the selected oral abstract<br />

presenters, please see page 24.<br />

Accepted posters <strong>for</strong> the SITC 26th Annual Meeting are on display<br />

in the Exhibit Hall, Grand Ballroom A-D on the Main Level <strong>of</strong> the<br />

hotel. Posters are available <strong>for</strong> viewing Friday and Saturday <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Annual Meeting. Please see page 57 or the Poster Abstract Book<br />

LATE-BREAKING ABSTRACTS<br />

To fulfill SITC’s commitment to the most cutting edge science, latebreaking<br />

abstract submission was <strong>of</strong>fered from August 15 – August<br />

31, 2011. Late-breaking abstracts will be published in the January<br />

2012 issue <strong>of</strong> the Journal <strong>of</strong> <strong>Immunotherapy</strong>. The highest scoring<br />

submissions were selected <strong>for</strong> oral presentation.<br />

EXHIBITS<br />

The SITC 26th Annual Meeting showcases a number <strong>of</strong> exhibitors<br />

whose products and services are on display <strong>for</strong> all meeting<br />

attendees to view. Exhibit booths are located on the Main Level,<br />

Grand Ballroom Salons A-D <strong>of</strong> the North Bethesda Marriott. The<br />

hall is open Friday and Saturday with booths staffed throughout<br />

the day, during all lunches, and evening receptions. For a complete<br />

exhibit hall floor plan and exhibit company listings, refer to pages<br />

29-31.<br />

SITC “FRIEND OF THE SOCIETY” RIBBONS<br />

SITC is committed to furthering the field <strong>of</strong> cancer<br />

immunotherapy/biologic therapy through the establishment <strong>of</strong> a<br />

Trust to support research, training and education. SITC members<br />

can show their support <strong>for</strong> this Trust and their commitment to<br />

their field, by purchasing a “Friend <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Society</strong>” ribbon at the<br />

SITC Registration Desk. The “Friend <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Society</strong>” ribbons are<br />

designed to be worn on the name badges <strong>of</strong> delegates attending<br />

the Annual Meeting. Ribbons may be acquired <strong>for</strong> a minimum<br />

donation <strong>of</strong> $50* and can be purchased personally or <strong>for</strong><br />

distribution to other recipients. In addition to wearing ribbons, all<br />

supporters will be recognized on signs at the 2011 SITC programs.<br />

*As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations made to SITC are taxdeductible<br />

as charitable contributions to the extent allowed by law.<br />

EVALUATIONS<br />

Please take time to complete the evaluation <strong>for</strong>m provided <strong>for</strong><br />

each session you attend. Your input and comments are essential in<br />

planning future educational events. Completed evaluations may be<br />
