<strong>Supply</strong> <strong>Chain</strong> <strong>Manager</strong><br />
Scope:<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Supply</strong> <strong>Chain</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> <strong>is</strong> <strong>responsible</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>reducing</strong> overall inventory and increasing turns while<br />
controlling cost (freight and packaging) and preserving service levels (fill rate), in accordance to ABC<br />
standards. Directing and coordinating activities throughout supply chain including supplier<br />
management, <strong>for</strong>ecasting, PO management, make/buy analys<strong>is</strong>, strategy development and execution,<br />
supplier per<strong>for</strong>mance evaluation, negotiations, and policy and procedure compliance.<br />
SCM analyzes data and determines factors that affect delivery and determines ability to meet schedules.<br />
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on<br />
orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material<br />
movement. Coordinates and follows up with production, d<strong>is</strong>tribution and customer support to ensure<br />
appropriate inventory stock, scheduling and movement of materials.<br />

Responsible <strong>for</strong> assembling data, analyzing per<strong>for</strong>mance, identifying problems, and developing<br />
recommendations which support SCM planning and operations<br />
Purchases: plans and schedules movement of bulk/FG products, packaging materials, parts,<br />
components, outside services, and related material through production and inventory process<br />
Responsible <strong>for</strong> qualifications of new supplies and/or suppliers<br />
Manage <strong>for</strong>ecast data development <strong>for</strong> purchasing dec<strong>is</strong>ions<br />
Generates analys<strong>is</strong> on Key Per<strong>for</strong>mance Indicators (KPI’s) <strong>for</strong> the <strong>Supply</strong> <strong>Chain</strong> function<br />
Works closely with VSA-AG, sales, customer support, schedulers, DC and non-VSA AG vendors<br />
Establ<strong>is</strong>hes strong relationship with vendors/suppliers to drive lowest possible price and prompt<br />
delivery<br />
Develops communication plans <strong>for</strong> strategy and tactical initiatives<br />
Supports the development and execution of global projects – global SKU leverages and<br />
promotes global processes, tools, and best practices.<br />
Periodically (quarterly/monthly) provides updates to the organization on business per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />
results<br />
Manage inventory / <strong>for</strong>ecast accuracy<br />
Lead S&OP process
Develop SKU analys<strong>is</strong> and on-going SKU adds/deletes to support business strategies and prevent<br />
SLOB inventory<br />
Maintains Material Master Data: active/d<strong>is</strong>continue, <strong>for</strong>ecast flag, blocking items from sales,<br />
ABC coding, min/multi, safety stock and other controls/flags<br />
Supplies sourcing <strong>for</strong> new product development<br />
Experience:<br />
7-10 years of <strong>Supply</strong> <strong>Chain</strong> operations such as production planning/scheduling, warehouse<br />
operations, capacity planning, procurement experience, international experience and<br />
manufacturing industry knowledge.<br />
Effective relationship building and vendor negotiation skills are required.<br />
APICS certification a plus ( or other supply chain/ material certifications)<br />
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems<br />
Very strong analytical skills, stat<strong>is</strong>tical and mathematical abilities are required<br />
Computer skills using MS Suites – “highly proficient in Excel” and SAP<br />
Effective communicator in both oral and written presentations<br />
Influential Leadership - ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster change and promote<br />
and implement improvement.<br />
