Position:
Supply Chain Manager
Scope:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for reducing overall inventory and increasing turns while
controlling cost (freight and packaging) and preserving service levels (fill rate), in accordance to ABC
standards. Directing and coordinating activities throughout supply chain including supplier
management, forecasting, PO management, make/buy analysis, strategy development and execution,
supplier performance evaluation, negotiations, and policy and procedure compliance.
SCM analyzes data and determines factors that affect delivery and determines ability to meet schedules.
Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on
orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material
movement. Coordinates and follows up with production, distribution and customer support to ensure
appropriate inventory stock, scheduling and movement of materials.

Director, Supply Chain Management
Works closely with: Production, Distribution Center, Customer Support, Sales Leads, Victorinox AG
and Factories.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing
recommendations which support SCM planning and operations
Purchases: plans and schedules movement of bulk/FG products, packaging materials, parts,
components, outside services, and related material through production and inventory process
Responsible for qualifications of new supplies and/or suppliers
Manage forecast data development for purchasing decisions
Generates analysis on Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the Supply Chain function
Works closely with VSA-AG, sales, customer support, schedulers, DC and non-VSA AG vendors
Establishes strong relationship with vendors/suppliers to drive lowest possible price and prompt
delivery
Develops communication plans for strategy and tactical initiatives
Supports the development and execution of global projects – global SKU leverages and
promotes global processes, tools, and best practices.
Periodically (quarterly/monthly) provides updates to the organization on business performance
results
Manage inventory / forecast accuracy
Lead S&OP process

Develop SKU analysis and on-going SKU adds/deletes to support business strategies and prevent
SLOB inventory
Maintains Material Master Data: active/discontinue, forecast flag, blocking items from sales,
ABC coding, min/multi, safety stock and other controls/flags
Supplies sourcing for new product development
Experience:
7-10 years of Supply Chain operations such as production planning/scheduling, warehouse
operations, capacity planning, procurement experience, international experience and
manufacturing industry knowledge.
Effective relationship building and vendor negotiation skills are required.
APICS certification a plus ( or other supply chain/ material certifications)
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems
Very strong analytical skills, statistical and mathematical abilities are required
Computer skills using MS Suites – “highly proficient in Excel” and SAP
Effective communicator in both oral and written presentations
Influential Leadership - ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster change and promote
and implement improvement.
