5. Region Service Project – Collection of bottle caps at dance on Saturday night<br />

6. Fringing – meet’n’greet<br />

7. Discussion of individual school service projects and community activities<br />

8. Create region cheer to be presented at 7:30 p.m. ~ prior to the 1 st General Session<br />

9. Adjournment - 5:00 p.m.<br />

5. Discuss Region Leadership Workshop sites/host schools for 2010-2011 school year<br />

6. Discuss proposed Resolutions<br />

7. Discuss individual school service projects and community activities<br />

Keynote Speakers<br />

professional development programs have been so popular that they are now<br />

provided as online graduate-level courses.<br />

Based on years of knowledge and hands-on experience in a variety of settings,<br />

Dr. Mike brings his unique blend of energy, wit, humor and insights to the<br />

stage as he discusses best practices in building and refining exceptional character<br />

education in the school setting, with a special empahsis on the importance of<br />

character in educational leadership at all levels.<br />

Patrick George<br />

VSCA is pleased to welcome PATRICK GEORGE as our keynote speaker at this<br />

<strong>84th</strong> <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Convention</strong>. Patrick has delivered over 1,000 motivational presentations<br />

at conferences, colleges and schools throughout the United <strong>State</strong>s and Canada. He<br />

began his speaking career while he was in high school as a student leader involved in<br />

<strong>Student</strong> Council, JROTC, Future Educators of America, DECA, and other student organizations.<br />

Patrick showcased at the NASC Conference as one of the youngest<br />

professional speakers before he was 23.<br />

Currently, Patrick teaches history and speech at a small school in Alabama, where<br />

he also serves as the <strong>Student</strong> Government Adviser and assistant basketball coach.<br />

Patrick is the author of an upcoming book on entering college as a freshman.<br />

Patrick delivers presentations that are packed with energy through stories that<br />

will have you “energized, inspired and ready to go forward!”<br />
