Freshers’ Day, on the occasion of
Engineers day on 15 th Sept., was
celebrated with great gusto on the
campus. Scores of students
showcased their talent in the open
air auditorium of the AryaBhatta
Block. They participated in a
variety of cultural programmes like
singing, dance, instrumental music,
mimicry and drama. The chief
guest Prof. G.. Subramaniyam, IIT-
Mumbai addressed the student
gathering and shared his memories
of student life. He advised students
to acquire observation skills and
a questioning attitude. The
Chancellor, Dr. Lavu Rathaiah
appreciated the efforts of senior
students for organizing such a
colourful programme. He advised
the seniors to be mentors, guides
and friends to their juniors. This
will enable the freshers to
overcome their inhibitions and
excel in studies.” The Vice
Chancellor, Dr. V. Govardhan Rao,
opined that functions of these sort
helped to establish healthy rapport
with one another, which will
indirectly influence students to
improve in academics. The
Registrar, Sri. A. LeelaMohan Rao,
exhorted students to take active part
in Optional Clubs and develop life
skills. The Director, DET,
National College of Ireland
discussed some interesting aspects
of cloud computing like,
the interaction of several
Dr. V. Madhusudhan Rao,
appreciated the efforts of seniors
towards making the party a huge
success. The programme
concluded with the prize
physical infrastructure required to
handle drastic traffic fluctuations.
Instead of having to invest time
and money to keep their sites
afloat, cloud computing customers
simply pay for the resources they
use, as they use them. This
particular characteristic of cloud
computing—its elasticity—means
that customers no longer need to
predict traffic, but can promote
their sites aggressively and
spontaneously. Engineering for
peak traffic becomes a thing of the
past. Prof Stains discussed
threadbare the Problem Based
Learning (PBL) and Technologies
besides the Research areas being
pursued at Ireland University. He
also discussed the differences
between the curriculum of Vignan
University and that of Ireland
University.
An ethical hacker is a computer and
network expert who attacks a
security system on behalf of its
owners, seeking vulnerabilities that
a malicious hacker could exploit.
To test a security system, ethical
hackers use the same methods as
their less principled counterparts,
but report problems instead of
taking advantage of them. Ethical
hacking is also known as
penetration testing, intrusion
testing and red teaming. Even large
companies, like IBM, maintain
employee teams of ethical hackers.
59 students along with 4 faculty
attended the workshop and gained
rich knowledge on ethical hacking.
The workshop was coordinated by
Mr.S.V.Phani Kumar, Asst.Prof,
