<strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Sinai</strong> <strong>Hospital</strong>’s cardiac catheterization laboratory is<br />
one of the busiest in the country and the most active center<br />
in the state. Growth has been tremendous over the past five<br />
years, as the chart above shows. Our cath lab rose to the top<br />
position among New York State hospitals in 2005 and since<br />
then has had a commanding lead of over 1,400 interventions<br />
over any other center from 2006 to 2009, with growth occurring<br />
in both coronary and noncoronary interventions. Data is taken<br />
from New York State’s own Department of Health statistics.<br />
