PROPOSED SOLUTION<br />
Preparation of <strong>Multan</strong> Master Plan to assess current and future needs of<br />
the expanding city is planned.<br />
177 km outlived <strong>Water</strong> supply lines is being replaced under CM<br />
Gastroenteritis Program.<br />
All the legal water supply connections at the consumer end are being<br />
replaced under CM Programme to avoid contamination of water.<br />
OHRs are being rehabilitated under CM programme to maintain the<br />
pressure during peak hours.<br />
<strong>Water</strong> bouzers (4) are being procured for water supply in case of any<br />
emergency.<br />
All the connection are being metered to stop the wastage of drinking<br />
water.<br />
Almost 40% city area is un-served, planned to be covered under CM big<br />
cities package in next 3 years.<br />
According to lab test conducted by WASA, the Arsenic contents in<br />
Golden Pumps installed by the Public at their own at the depth of 80’ ft<br />
are beyond the permissible limits set by WHO where as the TW installed<br />
by WASA 350-450 ft are with in permissible limits of WHO. However re<br />
testing is being carried out by using the arsenic kit.<br />
<strong>Water</strong> testing lab is being setup for quality assurance.<br />
<strong>Water</strong> supply from the TW is being chlorinated to make the drinking
