FABRIC REQUIREMENTS & CUTTING GUIDE
Quilt Size- 56½” x 64”
Fabric A- Grace in a Pickle Squares 0331-0350 1 ¼ yards or
• See instructions to fussy cut twenty-eight 8” squares. Five complete rows
(60” wide)
Fabric B- Plain White 5901-2174 1 yard
• Cut two 6” x 42” strips. Sub-cut into fifty-six 1 ½” x 6” strips.
• Cut two 8” x 42” strips. Sub-cut into fifty-six 1 ½” x 8” strips.
Fabric C- Outer Border & Binding 0519-0311 1 1/8 yards
• Cut seven 2 ½” x 42” strips. Piece the strips together to make two
2 ½” x 60 ½” strips and two 2 ½” x 57” strips.
• Cut seven 2 ½” x 42” strips for the binding.
Grace Blocks- Twenty Assorted prints
Fat 1/8 of each
• Cut total of twenty-eight 6” squares.

Backing- Red & Cream Flowers 0518-0311 3 ¾ yards
• Cut two 65” x 42” strips. Sew the strips together; trim to make one 65” x 72” backing piece.
Cutting the Grace in a Pickle Square:
Refer to Figure 1 to cut apart the Fabric A squares by cutting through the middle of the blue star
in both directions. This should give you a square slightly larger than 8” x 8”.
Use an 8” square ruler to even up the blocks on all four sides. You will need twenty-eight 8”
squares total.
Sew one 1 ½” x 6” Fabric B strip to each side of one 6” Grace Block. Sew one 1 ½” x 8” Fabric B
strip to the top and bottom of the 6” Grace Block to make one 8” pieced block (Fig. 2).
Repeat to make twenty-eight pieced blocks total.
Sew four 8” Fabric A squares and three pieced blocks together, alternating them, to make
Row One (Fig. 3). Repeat to make four rows total.
Sew four pieced blocks and three 8” Fabric A squares together, alternating them to make
Row Two (Fig. 4). Repeat to make four rows total.
Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to Figure 5 while assembling the quilt top)
Sew the four Row Ones and four Row Twos together, alternating them to complete the
quilt top.
Sew one 2 ½” x 57” Fabric C strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew one 2 ½” x 60 ½” Fabric
C strip to top and bottom of the quilt top.
Layer and quilt as desired.
Sew the seven 2 ½” x 42” Fabric C strips together, end to end with45° seams, to make the
binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press.
Bind as desired.
