An international perspective and a comprehensive<br />
scope of industry knowledge allow real estate<br />
professionals Markus and Heidi Brown to provide<br />
their clients with an unparalleled experience throughout<br />
the course of every transaction and beyond. Their<br />
client-centric approach consistently achieves results; the<br />
duo’s focus on advocating for their clients elevates and<br />
distinguishes them. The Browns haven’t built careers<br />
by selling real estate, but by providing their clients with<br />
sound information and solid representation. Explains<br />
Markus, “Heidi and I are not here to make decisions for<br />
our clients. We’re here to assist them in making the right<br />
choices for their individual needs.”<br />
They were each on their own journeys in life when,<br />
somehow, their paths crossed. It was serendipitous.<br />
Prior to launching his career in real estate, Markus<br />
studied at UCLA before spending three years backpacking<br />
around the world. He was no stranger to international<br />
travel; born to a German mother and an adventurous<br />
father, he spent many summers in Europe with his family<br />
and as a solo traveler. Markus also studied in Germany<br />
during his university years. His travels, while exciting,<br />
were also laced with challenges and opportunities for<br />
personal growth. “Negotiation skills became critical,”<br />
he recalls. “From obtaining food, to bus passes, to<br />
hotel rooms, I learned how to effectively communicate<br />
with an incredible range of individuals. This has been<br />
invaluable to my real estate career.” Experiencing the<br />
cultures and languages of over 50 countries enabled<br />
him to develop a keen understanding of the subtleties<br />
of communication and negotiation. He observes, “My<br />
experiences heightened my understanding of where and<br />
how the appropriate give and take should occur in order<br />
to achieve my ultimate goal.”<br />
He always knew, he says, that he would be in real estate,<br />
and so Markus has readily applied his experiences into<br />
his business. An entrepreneurial mindset and a knack<br />
for technology are additional assets in his professional<br />
endeavors. His career is a natural fit, and Markus thrives<br />
in the opportunity to make a difference in each client’s<br />
life.<br />
Heidi’s international roots have also been fundamental<br />
to her professional success. With a German father and a<br />
Peruvian mother she wasn’t, she reveals, “raised like an<br />
