WSSC Sewer Service Area ‣WSSC Service Area has 29 major sewer drainage basins within Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. ‣Our task is to rehabilitate sewer assets within 24 of those basins. ‣ Recent studies of the basins have shown that pipe rehabilitation is necessary to avoid failure of the sewer lines that could create environmental emergencies in streams tributary to the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. 7
