Requests: An attempt to honor requests will be made; but requests (coach, players, or practice<br />

nights) are not guaranteed. Placement of players is final. The deadline to withdraw from league play is the<br />

Friday before the first game. Players may move up only one division, but may not move down a division.<br />

If there is a day that you absolutely cannot practice/play please write it down the registration form.<br />

If you register after the deadline, your request potentially will not be honored.<br />

Withdrawal/refunds:<br />

Please inform the <strong>Youth</strong> <strong>Sports</strong> office (615-7407) if you are withdrawing your child from<br />

a sport for any reason. This includes free sports. The option to receive a refund or<br />

credit (minus $10 service charge) is at the discretion of the <strong>Sports</strong> director.<br />

Financial Assistance: Financial Assistance is available. Applications must be received by January 29 th .<br />

Practice times are decided by the coach. Practices will consist of one practice a week<br />

PERMISSION FOR TRANSPORTATION: The <strong>YMCA</strong> Staff has my permission to transport my child to and from program location in the event of an emergency. I understand reasonable precautions will be taken to ensure the safety<br />

and supervision of my child.<br />

MEDICAL WAIVER: In the event that my child requires emergency medical treatment and I cannot be reached, I hereby authorize the <strong>YMCA</strong> Staff to make arrangements to transport my child to the nearest hospital/emergency medical<br />

WAIVER: I understand that <strong>YMCA</strong> activities have inherent risks and I hereby assume all risks and hazards incident to my participation in all <strong>YMCA</strong> activities including transportation to and from said activities. I further waive, release, absolve,<br />

The Last Day to Register is February 4 th .<br />

Registration accepted after February 4 th will be charged a $25 late fee.<br />

No games April 7 th (Easter)<br />

Evaluations: 3/6, 3/8, 5:30pm – 7:30pm <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> <strong>YMCA</strong><br />

Practices begin: Week of March 19 th<br />

First Game- March 31 st<br />

Coach Meeting: Thursday, March 1 st at the <strong>YMCA</strong> at 6:30pm<br />

Coaches will draft their team at the end of the evaluation on March 8 th .<br />

Coaches Certification- March 17 th : 9am – 12:00pm at the <strong>Twin</strong> <strong>Lakes</strong> <strong>Family</strong> <strong>YMCA</strong><br />

The Middle School league will begin with evaluations. It will be run by a staff member at<br />

the <strong>YMCA</strong>. The coaches will be present to evaluate the players. There will be two days<br />

of drills and at the end of the second day preliminary teams will be made and a<br />

scrimmage will be held. Final decisions on teams will be made on March 9 th . Practices<br />

will be held beginning the following week at the <strong>YMCA</strong>. Games will be held on Fridays<br />

and Saturdays. Weekly scores and individual team records will be posted on our<br />

website. A single elimination tournament will be played at the end of the season.<br />

Games for the tournament will be decided based on rankings.<br />

Please inform the <strong>Youth</strong> <strong>Sports</strong> office (615-7407) if you are withdrawing your child from a<br />

sport for any reason. This includes free sports. The option to receive a refund or credit<br />

(minus $10 service charge) is at the discretion of the <strong>Sports</strong> director.<br />

Uniforms are non-refundable.<br />

Financial Assistance is available. Applications must be received by January 29th.<br />

Practice times and days are decided by the coach. Practices will consist of one/two<br />

practice(s) a week for an hour. The season will consist of 8 games. Game times vary.<br />

All Players are required to purchase the game plan at the <strong>YMCA</strong>.<br />

No changes to teams will be made unless approved by <strong>YMCA</strong>.<br />

Pictures: Picture day will April 28 th or May 5 th .<br />

Teams picture times will be scheduled. Please refer any questions to TSS photo. Phone:<br />

512-250-2444. The <strong>YMCA</strong> will not provide pictures.<br />

You will need to order and pay for pictures on picture day.<br />

Coaching:<br />

<strong>YMCA</strong> Philosophy:<br />

Head Coaches and Co-Head Coaches must fill out a volunteer application and provide a<br />

copy of your driver’s license. Coaches must complete a volunteer application every 12<br />

months.<br />

The <strong>YMCA</strong> is an instructional league, not competitive. The main focus is placed on the<br />

children’s skill development and on sportsmanship; therefore, the score will only be kept in<br />

older age groups. We build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.<br />
