A "must" for Professional Lighting Designers
These high quality stage spotlights for 300 W / 500 W / 650 W
halogen lamps have established themselves as a reference
product for Theatre Professionals all over the world. Their
excellent reputation is due to the combination of top level
optics, a simple mechanical design and many useful features
providing the user with an excellent level of light, a very
homogeneous beam quality and a great handling facility.
Light is beautiful
At spot setting, the A 56 C (prism-convex) is yielding
1,200 Lux at 10 m and still 500 Lux at 15.5 m, with 650 W
only!
The A 57 F performance with over 1,100 Lux at 8 m and still
500 Lux at 12 m is excellent for a Fresnel.
With both the diffused semi-sharp edged beam of the A 56 C
and the soft-edged beam of the A 57 F, the professional user
will definitely appreciate the superbly even light distribution of
these two spotlights. This is also true of the A59 Z zoom
profile with condenser optics which has repeatedly been
praised as the best spotlight in its category.
Light is safe
Access to the inside of the spotlight is impossible without first
disconnecting the CEE 22 power plug.
The "A" Range spotlights comply with all applicable
European directives and carry a CE mark.
Light is easy
Easy access to the lamp and lenses without tools, efficient
tiltlock, smooth and accurate spot/flood and zoom lens
adjustment, ventilated filterframe cassette with hinged lid for
eliminating light spill, one-hand insertion of 2 colour filters in
addition to the safety grid, side loading of the effects slot
allowing twin gobo changeover, easy and accurate handling
of the 4 beam shaping shutters, heat insulated knobs and
handles are all features designed specifically for enabling the
operator to create light and effects with a minimum of
constraints.

The combination of a rugged construction of corrosion-proof,
injected aluminium and heat resistant painting with a very
simple mechanical design makes of the "A" Range spotlights
instruments for a life time with a minimum of maintenance.

Specifications
Housing
• Housing for lamp, mirror and lens made of injected
aluminium.
• Front cassette with 2 sets of runners for 155 x 155 mm
DIN 15560 accessories, a safety grid for A56 C and A57F
and an hinged lid for retention of accessories and
elimination of light spill.
• High temperature resistant, electrostatically deposited
matt black painting.
• Ventilation / heat sinks designed to avoid light spill.
Clamping
• A strong steel yoke provides considerable resistance to
unwanted movements and vibrations.
• Effective clamping of the yoke by means of a strong
handle.
• Ø 11 mm hole in the transverse arm of the yoke for fixing
on a hook clamp.
Optical System
• Spherical reflector of pure, polished, anodised aluminium.
• Lenses in high quality optical glass.
• Knob for Flood / Spot adjustment on A56C and A57F.
• Knobs for zoom adjustment on A59Z.
• GY 9,5 lampholder adjustable for 230/240V, 300 W,
500 W or 650 W halogen lamps with 46.5 mm light centre
length.
Safety / Reliability
• This equipment complies with all applicable European
directives and carries a CE mark.
• A safety mechanism prevents access to the lamp without first
disconnecting the power cable.
• The power connector is secured by a stirrup.
• The spotlight does not present any sharp edge.
• An anchorage ring is provided for safety bond.
• Spring lock mechanisms prevent accidental drop-out of
accessories.
• All handles and control knobs are heat insulated.
• All metal parts are protected against corrosion.

Typical values
This spotlight produces a high level
output and a top quality diffused
edged beam from a tight spot to a
wide flood with beam angles from 5°
to 63° (field angle 9° - 66°).
Providing a tighter and more
controlled beam than a Fresnel, the
A 56 C is ideal for front or side
lighting on small stages where a
maximum of 650 W is required.

This spotlight produces a high
output level and a soft-edged beam,
variable from a tight spot of 8° to a
wide flood of 51° (field angle 14° -
59°). It is intended for side, back or
general lighting, as well as for
application in small studios.

A 59 Z
16° - 35° Zoom Profile with Condenser Optics
This spotlight, fitted with a spherical
mirror and condenser optics,
produces excellent light levels and
beam quality. As a variable beam
angle profile, the A 59 Z has a very
useful range of 16° to 35° and
provides a good directional light with
cut off beam and variable sharpness.
It is perfect for use in smaller venues
and to highlight details on larger
stages.
