Comparison of re-decoration
of external woodwork
Using variables from a typical housing stock maintenance
schedule, the CMCM tool calculates that over a 30 year period
an organisation will save 38% on its maintenance programme,
by specifying a woodstain rather than standard gloss paint.
It is estimated that by specifying a performance woodstain over
a standard woodstain, extending maintenance cycles from
four to six years, cost savings of around 28% are achieved.
A comparison between using a standard gloss paint versus a
performance woodstain shows a 56% cost saving.
