A Keynote Lecture entitled: “Cancer as an Epigenetic Disease: Alterations in DNA Methylation and<br />

Chromatin” will be given by Pr<strong>of</strong>essor M Esteller, Spanish National Cancer Centre, Madrid, Spain.<br />

Thursday 8 July: 17.15 – 18.00 hrs, Aula Lecture <strong>The</strong>atre<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Pathological</strong> <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong> Great Britain & Ireland 2 nd I Doniach Lecture entitled: “Stem cells and<br />

regenerative medicine” will be given by Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Dame Julia Polak, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital,<br />

London.<br />

WORKSHOP<br />

Tuesday 6 July: 13.30 – 15.00 hrs, <strong>The</strong> Auditorium<br />

A workshop run by Applied Imaging International, entitled: “Image analysis in modern pathology”.<br />

TRADE EXHIBITION (<strong>The</strong> Foyer)<br />

Delegates are encouraged to visit the Trade Exhibition and to support the companies represented there.<br />

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD)<br />

This <strong>Meeting</strong> has been approved by the Royal College <strong>of</strong> Pathologists for the purposes <strong>of</strong> Continuing<br />

Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Development. Credits can be accrued as follows:<br />

For each full day: 7 points<br />

For each half day: 3 points.<br />

Delegates who are eligible for CPD points should collect their certificates at the Registration Desk before<br />

leaving the <strong>Meeting</strong>.<br />

This <strong>Meeting</strong> has also been approved by the Institute <strong>of</strong> Biomedical Science for CPD accreditation<br />

(Code: CP030N04).<br />

REGISTRATION<br />

or— the enclosed Registration Form should be completed and returned as soon as possible<br />

and in any case before 25 June <strong>2004</strong>.<br />

FEES including all refreshments and lunch<br />

Before 9 June <strong>2004</strong><br />

£200 for the whole meeting, or £80 per day, or part there<strong>of</strong>.<br />

After 9 June <strong>2004</strong><br />

£300 for the whole meeting, or £100 per day or part there<strong>of</strong>.<br />

PhD Students, Technicians, Residents and Trainees<br />

To qualify for this reduced fee, delegates must submit an identification document signed by the Head <strong>of</strong><br />

Training, including National Training Numbers where applicable. If registration is submitted on-line, please<br />

send your identification document by post or via email to: julie@pathsoc.org.uk<br />
