Steam locomotive type P 6.
The engines type P 6 of the Prussian State Railway Authority P.St.E.V. were designed as multi-purpose
locomotives. They were supposed to pull not only passenger trains and freight trains but also express
trains through the hill country. The vehicle was delivered by the company Hohenzollern in Düsseldorf.
The machines showed some specifi c design features that were considered to be typical for their designer
Robert Garbe - for example the narrow stack located way up front and the special location of the boiler.
Despite that the driving wheels are small in comparison with 1.600 mm - at the
prototype even only 1.500 mm - the locomotives were licensed for a top speed of
90 km/h. The vehicles were coupled with different Prussian type tenders. A total of
275 units were built. After the Second World War 110 engines had to be given as a
form of war reparation to various countries in Europe.
163 locomotives were registered as series 37 0-1 at the German Reichsbahn (DRG) with
the serial numbers 37 001-163. The locomotives with the numbers 37 201-206 (since 1937)
were P 6 types of the Lübeck-Büchener Eisenbahn (LBE) and had different construction
features than the Prussian locomotives.
The few P 6 that remained in Germany after the Second World War were neither
reactivated by the German Federal Railways nor the Reichsbahn of the former GDR
and were decommissioned and scrapped up until about 1950.
481101 - Steam locomotive "BERG" (Bavarian D VI) of the Royal Bavarian State Railways.
The locomotives type D VI were wet steam locomotives of the Bavarian State Railways. Maffei delivered the fi rst 30 locomotives from 1880 until 1883
and 23 more were delivered by Krauss in 1894. For the fi rst time these Bavarian locomotives were fi tted with running boards and vacuum brakes type
Hardy. Some units even had connecting platforms. The placement of sandboxes bellow the footplate and between the coupling axles was unusual. The
fi rst 44 locomotives had no storage containers on the sides. The water was located in a framed water tank and the coal in the driver's cab.
Stake wagon type R 02.
No less than 10.500 stake wagons type Sml, later registered by the German State Railways (DB) as R 02, were requisitioned between
1890 and 1913 by the Royal Prussian Railways Administration (K.P.E.V.). The wagons were base on the technical specifi cation sheet IId5
that outlined the standards for the operating equipment of the K.P.E.V.. The wagons that were licensed for a top speed of 65 km/h were
continously updated throughout their building period and their design adjusted to the most recent modern technical standards. Hence
because of all the detail changes there was a multitude of variations that became most obvious in the length of the wagons (11,500 mm
or 12,200 mm). Starting in 1903 instead of the 980 mm spoked wheels, disc wheel sets with a dia. of 1,000 mm were mounted. The load
capacity of the wagons was about 15, 75 t at a loading area of 27 m ² .
New construction: Steam locomotive „BERG“ (Bavarian D VI) of the Royal Bavarian State Railways.
The locomotives type D VI were wet steam locomotives of the Bavarian State Railways. Maffei delivered the first 30 locomotives from 1880 until 1883 and 23 more were delivered by
Krauss in 1894. The placement of sandboxes bellow the footplate and between the coupling axles was unusual. The first 44 locomotives had no storage containers on the sides. The
water was located in a framed water tank and the coal in the driver‘s cab. However the last nine locomotives had short storage containers infront of the driver‘s cab. With that the
water reservoir capacity increased from 1,8 m³- 2,3m³ and the coal storage capacity from 0,5 to 0,8 t. In 1925 the DRG took over another 26 vehicles of the type 98.75 of which
five had storage containers on the sides. They were decommissioned at the end of the 1920s and partially sold as factory locomotives. The former locomotive no. 83 „Berg“ (DRG
987508) was in the end in service in a turf factory in Raubling, Upper Bavaria and only decommissioned in 1964. In 1966 it was sold to the DGEG and today it is shown in the DGEG
Railway Museum in Neustadt (Weinstraße).

Special series: 4 unit local train of the Königlich Bayerischen Staats-Eisenbahnen (Royal Bavarian State
Prototype: Four branchline wagons of the Royal Bavarian State Railways (K.Bay.Sts.B.). One luggage wagon GwL and three platform wagons CL. Operation condition: around 1910.
Service: For passenger trains on Bavarian branch lines. Model: Intricately detailed version with authentic lettering. Overall length: 100 mm or 102 mm. Ideal locomotive: Item
no.481101/481171.
Special series: 2 piece set: Goods wagons type Sml, Royal Bavarian State Railways.
New construction: Steam locomotive type P 6, K.P.E.V.
The machines of the series P 6 of the Royal Prussian State Railways, K.P.E.V., were designed as mulit-purpose locomotives. They were supposed to be able to pull not only passenger
trains and freight trains but also express trains in the hill country. The first locomotive was delivered in 1902 by the company Hohenzollern in Düsseldorf. The machines showed some
distinct features that were considered typical for their designer Robert Garbe - for example the narrow smoke stack situated way up front and the special position of the boiler.
Despite the in comparison small 1600 mm driving wheel - the prototype had only 1500 mm - the locomotives were licensed for a top speed of 90 km/h. All in all 275 units were
built. After the Second World War 110 engines had to be given as a form of war reparation to various countries in Europe. 163 machines of the series 37.0-1 were added to the
stock of the German Reichs Railway (DRG) with the serial number 37 001-163. The few P 6 that remained in Germany after the Second World War were not put back into service
neither by the Deutsche Bundesbahn nor by the Reichsbahn of the former DDR and were decommissioned by 1950.

Special series: Passenger train „Berliner Wannseebahn“, K.P.E.V.
The attractive intricately printed set consists of one tender locomotive T 9.3 as well as three passenger wagons and one luggage wagon. The Wannseebahn is a suburban route in
Berlin from the Potsdamer Platz through the Ringbahnstation Schöneberg to the train station Berlin-Wannsee at the Wannsee, after which it was named. The Wannseebahn was
serviced with steam trains until 1933.
Steam locomotive BR 38.10-40, DR.
The locomotives type 38.10-40 with Witte smoke deflectors were in service at the German Reichsbahn in the former GDR.
Steam locomotive BR 41 (Reko) with tender 2‘2‘T34, DR.
Due to the reason that time and again technical difficulties occured with the boilers that were very susceptible to damage, the DR (OST) had to take 300 locomotives out of service in
1956. This led to an enormous shortage of locomotives. The newly emerged need for trade prompted the development and consequently the ordering of a new boiler design (later
called the „39E“) which was used with slight modifications for the series 03,03.10, 39 and 41. Model: Large scale shape change !

Steam locomotive BR 94, DR
Even in the Epoch IV there still were a fiew units of the series 94.5-18 in active service. At the DR (East) the traditional railroad depots were situated besides Nordhausen in Arnstadt
and Suhl.
Steam locomotive series 81 with mounted digital coupling, DB
New: Standard with built-in DIGITAL coupling system. For heavy shunting service Hanomag delivered in 1928 a series of 10 locomotives type 81, which matched with the smaller
Steam locomotive BR 86, DB.
22 www.fleischmann.de
In the 1920s in the serial programme of the German Reichsbahn a tender locomotive was slated for the mixed service on highly frequented branch lines. Many German locomotive
manufacturers delivered almost 800 units of the locomotive known as the series 86 between 1928 and 1943 to the Reichsbahn.
Steam locomotive „No. 7“ (former 76 002), Illmetalbahn Gesellschaft.
In 1948 the 76 002 (former pr. T10 Mnz 7402/16 002) became property of the Illmetalbahn Gesellschaft in Einbeck. It was named locomotive 7 there. The manufacturers are the
August Borsig locomotive plants in Berlin. The locomotive was built in 1909 and had the production no. 6942. The locomotive 7 was scrapped in 1963.

Steam locomotive BR 17.10-12 (pr. S 10.1), DB
In 2011 the Prussian S 10.1 (late DRG series 17.10-12) is 100 years old. Between 1911 and 1914 two different series of the express locomotive were produced whereas 135
express train locomotives were requisitioned from Prussia and 17 from Alsace-Lorraine. Already in 1952 the German Federal Railways took the last locomotives out of service.
Steam locomotive BR 41, DB.
Steam locomotive BR 54.15-17, DB.
Most of the BR 54.15-17 locomotives made it through the Second World War. The machines were designed for the freight traffic but they were also used in front of passenger trains.
The last units were in service at the Bw Nuremberg Rbf. Suitable wagons: 5220, 5227, 523601, 5260, 5261, 5286, 5300, 5301, 5314, 5319, 5331, 5334, 534601, 534603,
Steam locomotive BR 38.10-40, DB.
Although the Second World War had decimated the stock of the type 38.10-40 (Prussian P 8) heavily, the young German Federal Railways (DB) in the beginning was still counting
approximately 1200 units in many different versions. The FLEISCHMANN-Model shows the passenger locomotive with a top speed of 100 km/h featuring a 2-Dom boiler and a tubstyle
tender (the so called „War Locomotive“ BR 52). Curiously enough not even in the Epoch III all machines of the series 38.10-40 had smoke deflectors.

Special series: 5 piece set: Push pull train with one locomotive series 78.0-5, DB.
Model: The set consists of one push pull command wagon, three „Donnerbüchsen“ and one tender locomotive type 78. Driving trailer with function decoder. Prototype: In the early
50s the socalled „Donnerbüchsen“ were retrofitted to push pull command wagons Cif so that from then on the wagons were allowed to run at the front of the trains. From there it
was not possible to control the locomotive directly but the train driver received commands via an appartus which the driver had to excecute accordingly.
Steam locomotive BR 065, DB.
Even in epoch IV some of the locomotives series 065 were in service at the Darmstadt railway depot - mainly at the depots Weinheim and Aschaffenburg. They pulled passenger
trains and regional freight trains.
Diesel locomotive series 218, WestFrankenBahn (DB-Regio).
Prototype: In 2010 the DB AG had the Diesel locomotive 218 105 painted in the TEE livery to have a suitable train locomotive also in service on not electrified lines. The locomotive is
now regularly used infront of the „TEE Rheingold“ for charter traffic at the DB-Nostalgiereisen. Officially the multi purpose locomotive is owned by the DB subsidiary
WestFrankenBahn and is stationed in Aschaffenburg. Of course it is also being used infront of freight trains or for transfer trips and the lettering on it suggests the Epoch IV.
Diesel locomotive series 218, WestFrankenBahn (DB-Regio).
Usable as rail cleaning locomotive. For cleaning of the tracks the locomotive is equipped with a motor driven cleaning disc grinder which is mounted inside the bogie.

Steam locomotive series 691, ÖBB.
After the 2nd World War 8 Prussian locomotives series T 9.3 remained for the time being in Austria. In 1948 four locomotives of the Russian occupation zone were brought to Poland
and to the USSR. The Pochlarn/St.Pölten area was the last home of the series 691. The last two locomotives were decommissioned on the 28th of November 1957.
Steam locomotive series 770, ÖBB.
Four units of the series 70.0 were taken over from the ÖBB and were registered as the series 770. 770.86. They are now operable again and in service for chartered trains.

Special series: 2 piece set: Railbus set, GKB.
Shortly after the single engined BT 95 was launched on the market the railwaymen in operational service required powerfull railbuses. Already in 1953 the wagon manufacturer
Uerdingen delivered three protoypes VT 98 901 - VT 98 903 with two engines to the DB. Two more of the same locomotives type VT10.01 and VT 10.02. were delivered the same
year to the Graz-Köflacher Eisenbahn (GKB) in Austria. In 1968 the GKB bought all in all nine VTs with the same equipment and 16 trailers of the same size.
Electric locomotive series Ae 3/6, SBB.
Prototype: Very special electric locomotive 10700, built in 1925, SBB. The locomotive was built by the company BBC Baden and SLM Winterthur and has a total weight of 93 t.
Electric power capacity: 1600 kW (2176 PS). Top speed: 110 km/h. Service: Different kind of services on main lines and secondary lines.
New construction: Steam locomotive series 3.15 (former P 6) of the French northern railway.
The machines of the series P 6 of the Royal Prussian State Railways, K.P.E.V., were designed as mulit-purpose locomotives. The first locomotive was delivered in 1902 by the
company Hohenzollern in Düsseldorf. After the Second World War 110 engines had to be given as a form of war reparation to various countries in Europe.

Steam locomotive BR 76.0 of the „French northern railway“.
One Prussian T 10 (the MAINZ 7404) was surrendered as reparation to the French northern railway already after the 1rst World War, but came back to Germany again as the
„Rückführlok“ in 1940. Nevertheless it was surrendered to France in 1945 again. There it served as the 230 TB until 1947.
Steam locomotive serie 130 TB, SNCF.
The Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace Lorraine requisitioned in total 132 Prussian locomotives series T 9.3. More locomotives came to France due to the negotiations of the Treaty of
Versaille and increased the stock of the later to become the SNCF siginificantly. Many locomotives had their home stations in Alsace.
Steam locomotive series 93.0, SNCB.
Steam locomotive series 30, CFL.
Steam locomotive 91 1054, NS.
The Belgian State Railways received a significant
number of the Prussian locomotives type T 9.3 due
to the armistice negotiations respectively the treaty
of Versailles. The last 4 locomotives were
decommissioned on the 26th of May 1963 in
Brügge. Suitable wagons: (ex-Art.) 935766,
935767, 945689, 521101, 521302.
After the Second World War the locomotives series
91.3 remained in service at the Luxemburgian CFL.
They were registered there as the series 30. Up to
the 1950s the locomotives were in service infront
of shunting trains at the main station in Luxemburg.
In 1945 the Dutch State Railways (NS) owned one
Prussian T 9.3, 91 1054. It can no longer be
definitely ascertained if in November 1944 the
locomotive was rented to the German Railway
Commissioner in Utrecht or if it had just stopped
on Dutch territory after the war. Since the Dutch
counted on the return of the locomotive it not only
bore the new NS number but also the cancelled out
DR number 91 1054.

Steam locomotive 95 018, SNN.
In summer 1981 the 65018 was rent for the first time to the „Stoom Stichting Nederland“ (SNN) over a period of 10 years. The locomotive was definitely put in stock of the SNN in
1991. After a general overhaul the locomotive started its service at the Museumsbahn in 1984. Until 1993 the 65 018 pulled a great number of chartered trains. In September 1993
the loco Rotterdam was stopped because again it needed a general overhaul what was given at the Dampflokwerk Meiningen.
New construction: Steam locomotive Oi 1-29 (former 37 171 DRG), PKP.
After the Second World War 110 engines type P 6 had to be given as a form of war reparation to various countries in Europe. The P 6 that was called Oi 1-7 at the Polish State
Railway was delivered 1905 as „Elberfeld 319“ and was given to the PKP already after the I.World War. The locomotive was added to the stock of the DR in 1941 and was registered
as 37 171. After the war the locomotive remained in Poland. The machine that was decommissioned in 1967 can now be seen in the railway museum in Warsaw as Oi 1-29 and is
the only unit of the Prussian type P 6. Model is in last years operating conditions.

Steam locomotive 437.05, ČSD.
After the year 1945 one locomotive series 56.20-29 G 8.1) remained in the former CSSR and was registered there as the 437.05.
Steam locomotive BR 377.05 (pr. P 8), ČSD.
It was only between 1944 and 1945 that the P 8 locomotives poured out of Poland and the Silesian cities Breslau and Oppeln to settle in Bohemia and Moravia. The ČSD registered
the locomotives as the series 377.05. In 1963 the last locomotive 377.0519 was decommissioned - it was in service as a brake locomotive in Praha-Smichov for a long time. The
boiler of a further locomotive served as a heating boiler in a sawmill in Vrbno.
Push pull control wagon type Cif, DB.
At the beginning of the 1950s various passenger wagon were converted to command wagons for push pull trains. During the retrofitting of a suitable wagon to a command wagon a
driver‘s cab was built in at one end and a luggage compartment behind it. To make that possible seats had to be taken out. In addition to that two windows were installed at the front
wall and finished it with a triple headlight and a signal horn.
Now in the color concept ocean blue/beige. Thanks to the built in function decoder the driving trailer is able to execute a light change in analog as well as in digital operation. The
allowed top speed of the wagons was 120 km/h. A speciality of the driving trailer: At the rear end of the wagen in the direction of driving was a small drivers cab on the right side
and on the other side was an administrative compartment. Because the transition to the next wagon in the train chain was supposed to still be possible both compartments were
closed to the aisle with doors. On the front the wagon was equipped with a rubber bead and two windows for the observation of the tracks. Ideal locomotives: 410301, 410371,
The „Reichseisenbahnen in Alsace Lorraine“ was
the first railway owned by the German Reich. It was
founded after France had to surrender the area of
Alsace Lorraine to the German Reich according to
the peace treaty from 1871. The railways of the
private French East Rail had a route network there
of a total of 740 km. After the end of the war in
1918 and the return of Alsace Lorraine to France
the routes first remained independent as French
State Railways under the name „Réseau ferroviaire
d‘Alsace-Lorraine”.
