2. Social Equity / Inclusive Development
i. Alwar has been proposed by GoR under RAY programme for making it a
SLUM FREE CITY .
ii. Affordable Housing policy Rajasthan – 2009.
• At least 15% of the dwelling units/plots (or 5% of the total residential
area of the scheme, whichever is higher) are to be earmarked for
EWS/LIG housing.
iii. GoR directions – Master Plan should address poor section of the society.
iv. 12 th Plan recommendation of planning commission – Design compact
cities with special emphasis on lower income category.
