3. Environmental sustainability:
iv. To reduce resource consumption:
• The priority of ground water allocation should be drinking, agriculture
and lastly industrial consumption (recommended by MoE & F, GoI under
Environment MP Alwar)
• To protect the prime agriculture land, diversion of agriculture land for
non-agriculture purpose should be considered only in exceptional cases.
v. To conserve valuable resources:
• Develop city level water harvesting scheme.
• Use recycled water for non drinking purposes.
• Conserve and enhance built / eco-heritage areas.
