To close out this reporting period Nina Khoury participated<br />

in an Australian U21 team that played a three match series<br />

against Australia A in Canberra with Andrew McDonald assisting<br />

in the coaching <strong>of</strong> the team. In exciting news for the<br />

TIS hockey program we were awarded an additional grant<br />

from HA to become a drag flicking development centre, one<br />

<strong>of</strong> three in Australia with TIS athlete Luke Doerner heavily<br />

involved in the delivery <strong>of</strong> the program.<br />

During 20<strong>11</strong> new national, national junior and national<br />

futures squads were announced, with the following athletes<br />

included:<br />

I would like to thank all the coaches who have assisted in<br />

various state team capacities involving TIS players. I would<br />

also like to acknowledge the support <strong>of</strong> Hockey Australia<br />

and Hockey Tasmania, especially Alison Monk,<br />

Jo Traynor and CEO Mark Purcell.<br />
