Loose ribbing on your hat getting you down? Here are some simple fixes for you. On the Road with Knitters Mercantile 2012 Calendar Contest. Or if you know in advance that you would like tighter ribbing, you can hold the elastic together with your yarn and knit your ribbing with it. 2. Go smaller.
